I think the way they did it in 6.15 could/would be the best way to gage community reaction in a covert and somewhat controlled way.

They heard the outcry and straight up got a way to see how people who did all that content feel about the situation. It would be a somewhat good way to anonymously gage people responses and have a way to poll with minimal ballot stuffing/bots.
That's not really what's being done here, though?
We have an OP that's basically just going, "I'm glad to see that larger-reaching sections of the community are starting to talk about what are, to me, some of the game's increasingly obvious shortcomings. Here's one random example. (On which note, maybe we can talk about those things further here.)"
And now we have a thread of people having that discussion, where it can manage to fit in through outcries of "Boo! Streamers boo!" that are almost entirely irrelevant to the point at hand.
Hence the "Nobody asked." Because the point wasn't one's opinion about streamers, but merely a comment on how criticism has been cycling, and its more recent topics (available content, use and framing of grinds, etc.).

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
As mentioned before, they are both just clowns with microphones that mostly would do things like this, because the game does not go their degraded way of gameplay and both Zepla and that MrHappy person only cover a small small fraction of players opinions and whatever is in it.
NO thanks to be doing the ARR Raids 15 times x 3 or whatever, the Devs and Yoshi P already know what torture it is to do alliance raids, so why punish the people further, with mindless idiotic grinds, give us Bozja or Eureka based content instead so we can go out there and actually do something that is not normally daily torture.
And as for those streamers... what about them... they stand on top of each others shoulders datamining content that they then show in their videos.. and whatever they try and tell as news and so on and so forth, where as some of those mounts and the likes is not obtainable within a day of a release of a patch due to heavy restrictions and the likes and things one must pass.
Stop wasting time on them, and instead of watching them complaining, maybe actually start playing the game instead, their way of influencing and or the likes only follow their own degraded views of the game and not everything as a whole, they do not cover that nor do they have the data for it either and the data from the forum is more or less inhabile, as in it is usually the same people that complain all the time.
Engaging a system doesn't mean liking it, I've seen that a lot either outright or implied... that's not a truth. I engaged FATE in 2.0 to level and I HATED it. I also found release eureka to be obnoxious grind, but it was cute to play with once they nerfed it (felt it could be better but thought it was novel and didn't hate it once nerfed). I've seen a lot of people who loved it, and some who didn't. I don't think the content needs to be hated, though I kind of wish some of the ideas were just standard or incorporated naturally into the world rather than in a corner (even if added post launch). Just needs to be stated that engagement is not exactly related to enjoyment.
I would probably interact with it willingly a lot more if it had one more nerf or simply allowed blue mage in. I've felt similarly with all the Eureka content. The rolling mountain can handle the nerfing nature, which I'm fine with, I suppose my following major complaints would be the awkward and short lived moment where it's nerfed and people are doing it and then when a bunch of stuff requires discord or you cant do it naturally anymore. Like a bozja dungeon.
The other being I generally dislike consumables, using it and wasting them feels awful and unless I know I have to I feel reticent to use one, even in single player games. For that i greatly disliked FFVIII's magic system. Kind of wish they had some way to turn them into learned abilities, like consumed until X and then learned. Some sort of materia FFIX system.

Yoshi was busy with FF16 so zero care was put on FF14 relic content. (Tbh I don't really care for relic, I just get savage BiS and call it a day)
You do realise he’s just a producer of 16… that’s not hands on in terms of dev time. His role is purely making sure the team he’s assigned hit deadlines or are on schedule.. contracts and follow ups with outside contractors and mostly marketing while the director and creative director actually manages the game. He assigned people he knew could do the job so I doubt he has much a hand in 16 as some people seem to think. That’s like with 7 remake Kitase did most of the interviews and marketing and Nomura and his co director were cracking on with the game.
Anyway to the topic, streamers opinions are valid for the most part but Zepla isn’t someone’s opinion I take highly. Her suffering burnout video made me chuckle because anyone would have burnout in some capacity after playing for so many years and then thinks Genshin a more insidious grind would be a good option lol
Hot take, books would've been fine if they didn't feel like they were procedure generated, and actually told a story of some sort, but "Uh do these 3 unrelated FATEs, then these 3 unrelated Dungeons, then these 3 unrelated Levequests, and finally go commit a lot of random murder but like only a tiny bit in each area" was so incredibly soulless that there isn't any enjoyment to be found, in-story, they feel like they should be something special, but in terms of gameplay it is all disconnected and meaningless, which makes how much they are just busywork for busywork sake obvious.
This might sound crazy. But all past and future relics should be just changed to a glamour and have no stats. A player should get a weapon at level 30 when they get a job stone. The weapon should sync for level and at 50-60-70-80 max ilvl and then at 90 10 ilvls below cap each patch. They want to add a glamour great, they too busy fine the weapon already adjusts ilvl. It also means every player will have a weapon within 10 ilvls of cap. They could remove crafted weapons from next expansion and just put a bit more effort into glamours.
I would also like a system like this for artifact set make it synch for level. The slightly different looking sets could be set to lvl1 and made into a glamour. It would give the game a bit more job identity. Since the easiest way to lvl would just wear level 30 artifact that synchs. Reducing some of the work for future expansion and allowing them to improve the gear sets they introduce. So instead of putting gear in dungeons and crafted gear sets. Just make all the sets a crafted glamour. Eliminating running X dungeon till you get drop. Also allowing devs to improve the gear they do make.
