My views have changed slightly on some glamour restrictions

Specifically DoH gear. While I have supported restrictions on gear in the past, especially for job and gender specific attire, my grip has loosened a bit for DoH gear and this is why:

• From my observations, very few players actually allocate glamour plates to DoH classes and this leads to these absolutely lovely designs being largely unused.
  
• Players would probably use them more if more glamour plates were available, but this is not the case right now.
  
• I respect development time, and feel it should go towards what players will benefit from. Since time does go into designing DoH specific gear per class every expansion, but not a lot of players use them. I would rather the dev team either do away with it entirely in favor of more available glamour choices/hairstyles, or make these outfits available for all classes so they can be enjoyed by more players when designing their glamour plates for other jobs.

Hopefully this shows that views can change over time. Even mine. It isn't very broad in this case, but even a little can go a long way. I really like how some of these look on combat classes. Here is the Boltsoph's Swallowtail on my SCH. I really love the look!

Restrictions are kinda stupid for crafters and gatherer's, id love to wear full plate armor while gathering.

I think one of the restrictions I hate are glams being designated by the armor type rather the job your using if I have a butler glam for my DK but a rabbit suite glam for my Pally one gets the glam removed because I'm using the same armor for my tank sets but different glams.

Yea the single crafter/gatherer sets go largely unused (or they will start to clog up your armory chest pretty hard). I definitely agree the restrictions should get loosened there.

A lot of my favourite glamour pieces are crafter exclusive. I'd love to be able to use them for combat jobs.

I wish they would remove glamour restrictions entirely. Job and level restrictions on cosmetics are really not necessary.
I know the reasoning behind their existence, but to that my answer is and always will be: Namazu head piece.

I am fine with restricted Artifact Armor. And weapons of course. Maybe even the starter gear, whatever. But everything else should be unlocked.

Agreed, opening up crafter gear as glamours for combat jobs would be a neat perk for not just levelling crafters, but actually gearing them somewhat even if you don't actually intend to make stuff seriously.

Other than weapons, the only restriction on glamour should be that you have to be able to equip it on the appropriate job first. Let me use my Copied Factory caster dress on dancer, damnit!
