I wouldn't say a "slog" so much as, it has a huge degree of variance, unlike most other raids in the game, you can't just click a button and be teleported in, you need to meet a series of requirements, and then you will be allowed in, and while the raid itself is fairly easy, it is also punishing of mistakes, primarily by normal Rez being disallowed inside of BA, and the last boss will regularly suck people entirely out of the raid if they are dead or otherwise fail the mechanic which makes it extra punishing, the general rule is to play it safe and let the bosses take longer but execute all mechanics correctly and (hopefully) nobody dies, ideally you will go bonkers kill fast while playing it safe, but if forced to choose between either slow safety and speedy recklessness, the priority goes for safety, as only one boss inside BA has an enrage so it doesn't *truly* matter if the fights are slow most of the time.

Occasionally you also get grievers in BA, it's rare but it is known to happen, and you can't do anything about those, other than hope they die and don't get rezzed, I had a particularly bad run where two grievers were purposefully messing with the 2nd-to-last boss and caused most of the raid to die, it was also when I learned that Healer LB3 bypasses BA's rez limitation, good times... after the raid the run lead went on voice chat all, "I am not going to tell you to just report those guys, or what their names were, because that would be bridgading, which is against ToS... but if you were killed by their actions, that constitutes MPK, and thus it wouldn't be unreasonable if you reported them for this.", just the most "Legally speaking, I will not incriminate myself, but..." language that made me laugh.

I wanna say you can still make an impressive amount of money in Eureka. Plus it's nice to experience it just once for people now familiar with it since it functions differently from the rest.

    Small update:

Unlocked Bozja and finished Southern Front, right now in the mid of Zadnor, liked both zones, raids and critical engagements. Also the community is lively and welcome.

In the meantime started Eureka too, and I gave it a fair chance, but I just think is not for me. I literally took like 40 minutes to go from level 5 to level 6 like wtf, and half the time i was askin myself whats the point on killing criters again and again. It dont help when I join there are like max 2 people in the instance.

Maybe in the future i retake Eureka cause there are incentives, for now I will just advance in the MSQ i think.

Best way to level in Eureka by yourself is to complete the weekly challenges from the challenge log. Other than that, the FATE trains are the way to go. I'm not sure how Eureka is in Malboro, but hop on Primal sometime! It's usually always somewhat active. But yeah, it's intended to be the "hyper slow mob farm, you die you lose xp" old school MMO style of play, and there's a reason why most MMOs have moved on from that, though there's some appeal to it, to be fair.. or I would have never finished it. It's also better if you have a friend to run with, though it's not mandatory.

No, it wasn't worth doing in 2019 either.

Personally I don't like Eureka. I've been trying to work myself up to getting a single relic done for the past two years, give or take.
I've yet to get past the second area.
I generally find it just tedious and kinda boring. The whole time I'm there I'm thinking of better ways I could be spending my time. It's just not for me.

You may find it not quite so bad yourself, and genuinely I hope that is the case, just be aware, depending on your tastes it might be the worst relic to obtain.
really its much more faster with a couple of friends. you really have to look at it like in terms of old school mmos where grouping will yield you the quickest results.

So is Eureka doable nowadays? Its is worth the time/ my sanity and how much was it nerfed respect to release? Ty for any answer
Take what anyone here says with a grain of salt.

Eureka is hated by 90% of the community because they actually have to play the game to get rewards.

If you enjoy grinding for a good reward (Glowing armor, Relic weapon and the Demi-Ozma Mount), then its 100% worth it.

The armor is (imho) one of those really cool things that is not super rare, but it's rare and cool enough to definitely be worth the effort.

I found Eureka to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of FFXIV. I sort of liked the notion of an area that had its own leveling system and no other purpose of doing it other than glam (not pointless exp grinding like Bozja). I thought having it actually be dangerous to go to certain places brings something to the game not really seen anywhere else. Elemental system and the ability to upgrade past the 5 by doing rare FATEs as well as getting drops for haste items... I thought it was a great system.

Topic creator here again with another update. So I gave Anemos yet another chance, and surprisingly this time I leveled up fast, enjoyed it a bit even. Here wat happened:

    • Used potions of harmony, Vermillion cloak and found the Anemos Elemental for even more added Experience, and wow the change was big, first i struggled to take down enemies but now I could do big pulls
    • Reached level 14 so got invited into a group (yes finally i saw some people) when I went into one of those fates
    • Being a S hunt spawner, spawning fates in Eureka comes natural to me, even better with a group.

Right now I finished Anemos, hope Pagos dont ruin the good impression i got from Eureka but we will see.

Tl;dr: level 1 to 7-10 are soul crushing but later becomes better. Potions, cloth are not suggested but mandatory. Ask to join a party if you find people
