Yes. The vocal minority give feedback and care about the game and the silent majority quit without feedback, continue their lives and never look at the game again.

The vocal minority are all the developers have to know what would interest the silent leavers and a certain group of players do their best to silence them. Guess which group is better for the health of the product?

Yes, it's a product and SE are a company. Bland praise like they're a single fragile person who needs a confidence boost is entirely worthless.

I feel like a lot of the feedback here also comes from a band of fragile people looking for some sort of commendation for their efforts.

Proper feedback is good. Doom and gloom without anything constructive when the status quo seemingly remains unchanged for a period of time isn’t. The latter seems to be the case on these forums when the whine posts sprout upon the smallest hint of a content lull. These are just memes.

Yeah... we are both halfway right here i think. There are meme-ish topic like the "just play other games" but there are also constructive ones like the infamous "What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?" which does have a lot of critique and suggestion or "
The atrocity that was the "In from the Cold" quest ending - *STORY RANT*" or even "Can we consolidate all the Endwalker teleports into a single tab?"

Here, here! I tried social media and I just don’t have the attention span for it. I drop it for several months or years at a time because I forget about it. Forums count as social media, by the by. Everything in moderation, I say.

What's the deal with all the constant bolding and italicization in certain posts around here? I get that addressing tone can be difficult on a forum, but the formatting some of you guys are utilizing comes off more like someone's being yelled at. I have doubts as to how effective that is in presenting a cohesive and believable argument that will be taken seriously. Tone goes a long way in determining whether someone will even continue to give you the time of day.

Didn't you claim to be of a more venerable age range? Why then, do you conduct yourself as a teenager or young adult would on the internets? I've seriously typically seen this kind of behavior from the younger demographics. It's rather strange to see, but then maybe I was romanticizing what I wasn't familiar with.
