Agreed. What these forums desperately need is actual active moderation.
Except with normal posts you wont run into the limit. It's threads like this that bring people to post limits. Especially if there are like 5 of them active at once.
That's fair, I suppose. Though, at the same time I've seen other posters conduct themselves in the unpalatable way you describe so it may be best to call out all offenders and not merely some if those who take umbrage what's being posted wish for their point to be taken seriously. Obviously this is just my own advice, and it's largely meaningless to others but regardless I believe that clearly visible bias and partiality proffers negative hits to the credibility of a critic. He doesn't come right out and say "I speak for the community" but the phrases like "overarching consensus" "the majority of the playerbase" "the obvious truth" "nobody wanted to X" and other absolutes are constantly peppered through the things he says. A lot of us here give feedback and make it a point to use terms like "I" or make it clear that it's our opinion and others are free to differ. That's not something that he tends to do. His opinions are never his own. They have to be communal. And I think people could look past that as just ego if he didn't also insult anyone who doesn't agree with him with passive aggressive remarks like "those of us who like something more adult" when talking about current story as he's done in other threads and don't even get me started on the "this person is a 3" thread.
Nobody wants to try to debate with someone who is going to dismiss what they say and insult their differing point of view before they even get to make it. So that history is why some people are bristling in this thread. The first post in this thread is probably the most neutral I've seen him and if we can get more like that, then I think he wouldn't get the same reactions.
If Square stops hollowing out Job designs... Who am I kidding they won't stop doing that. How else are they going to obtain the unobtainable perfect balance?
I set the Bar exceptionally Low... Give back Kaiten. That's all it takes to restore my confidence. Not a new Beast-tribe/Race/Hairline/Glamour/Raid/Mounts/Ultimate/Mogstation-Item/Emotes -> to restore my confidence? is just 1 button, give it back and that's it. Unfortunately? they won't ever do that so my confidence is probably never going to be restored. They can't even improve the housing interface beyond that of a " House that's Burning Down ". So yeah...
Oh I'm by no means saying that he's the only one. He's just incredibly egregious about it and he's turned a lot of people off even communicating with him. I was pleasantly surprised to see the neutral take in this OP. I don't agree with all points, but I do think at least using just the OP (and not other posts that have been made in this thread) it would be a good place to start a civil and productive discussion. So I know you have me on ignore, Av, but I do give you credit for showing willing to debate in good faith.
Its impossible to consider you seriously when you quote me as saying things I have never said."just quit the game already if you dont like it why are you still playing ?"
"just quit already"
"just unsubscribe if you dont like the game" and a million variants of it
How are these even real issues? For one, nobody wanted to see yet more hideous allagan textures copypasted everywhere.
The mount is yet another recycled mob and another with more ugly allagan textures painted on it.
From what I understand new enemies roam around the levelling floors that can one-shot and then wipe whole parties, making this content useless as a less painful way of levelling alt classes.
It's all just your aesthetic preferences. 81-100 has some of the best deep dungeon visuals we've seen in a long time.
And seriously there's nothing in 21-30 that can one shot and wipe entire parties if you're remotely paying attention. The one-shots only begin at 41+ and was a great way to make hardcore DD more fun (but they also made it much less fun at the same time by nerfing autos to the point where even DPS don't need to kite anything).
Hermes is fine but Amon-Hermes-Fandaniel as a whole is a seriously asinine character. I see it as nothing but a desperate attempt to salvage the horrible Fandaniel arc in 5.x and try to pull another Emet-Selch.I didn't find Hermes horrible -- I liked the story of him and Meteion.
The idea that having too much hope that some solution will bring rose-colored results ends up in total disaster is pretty good.
(that and I don't expect superb story-telling from MMOs when there are so many factors that can derail consistency)
Excellent news! Zepla has returned from her long hiatus in the world of Genshin Impact to comment on the state of FFXIV. Hopefully if not us the people SE has hired for its "Influencer Relations" can take in her feedback.

Who gives a damn about that person? It is just another person with a mic.. and often caught data mining like that Meow whatever guy is named, when telling news of FFXIV....Excellent news! To restore confidence in the game, try and find some other MMO that you might like playing and come back here again.
I don't think Streamers is there for any good, you should rather be playing the game than giving them ANY views at all.
That alone will make you know if you want to actually play the game or not no matter what positive or negative things a clown with a mic tells you to do, and often only influenced by own degraded views rather as of the games as in whole.
