Belts on everything need to stop

You add belts on too many basic non fighting clothing pieces and it seems to have become an unbreakable and uninspired norm.
There’s plenty of decorative things you could add that aren’t belts. Create an embroidery, add some small jewel or simply nothing at all. There’s nothing wrong in some simplicity from time to time, not everything needs a belt, tattoo or purse attached especially when we can’t even colour them.

We would have more pairing options if it wouldn’t be for both pants and shirts having a belt each.

I agree with OP. Belt and zipper memes work on standalone characters from the mainline series because they just wear the same shit and rarely change it or have to care about mixing and matching, but OP's own post demonstrates how the harsh belt divisions create tension when you try to mix different sets.
Probably the oddest thing was despite the belt fetishism, the actual belt accessories (when we had them) didn't even show.
