Absolutely. I've loved EW. The story, the music, new things like the Variant Dungeon, haven't even touched IS or Criterion yet, plus the laundry load of things I'm enjoying trying out from past expansions that are still on my to-do list. EW has a lot to enjoy, thank you very much![]()
-shrugs- I been hearing from a lot of people that the 1,500 steps were kind of a blessing due to feeling burned out of the game. I am not speaking for everyone, but I think a lot of players would disagree for their own reasons. However, I do think most players are hoping for something different on the 3rd step at least.
Again, not saying the current relic grind is better, but lets not insist on it being an exploratory zone every expansion. I know it might be hard to comprehend, but just because I don't want more of what we've already had doesn't mean I like what we have now instead.
I liked them. I generally operate under the auspices that more content is typically better regardless of quality. And it's not as if Eureka/Bozja were terrible on their face, they merely had implementation issues. Once you got into the swing of things though, I found them rather enjoyable. So were exploratory zones the pinnacle then since you seem to not want anything else? Look the current relic is hardly riveting content, and is much easier than before but the Exploratory zones were not the best content ever created, and are not necessary to make an interesting or long relic grind.
I suppose the bottom line is that I'd rather get the zones with story attached than not get them.
Out of curiosity, what's keeping you from IS and Criterion? Simply other priorities/not enough time to both?

Genshin Impact does it for free.
Before Zadnor introduced the seals, it was hilarious to watch irregular essence tanks die to a single raid wide. Good times.

I’m thrilled. I like roulettes but disliked grinding boring things like fates. I never got very far in older relics given how dull the grind was.
Development on FFXVI finished though. It's been done for a long time. It's just some marketing. Yet nothing has changed in the patches.
Obviously Island Sanctuary and C&V were instead of these because similar resources were put into them, such as User Interface development and bosses. I would like relic zones too but we shouldn't pretend they didn't use these resources somewhere.- No relic zones
It is literally going to be able to use up to 90 outdoor furnishings in the patch at the end of this month. From the latest interview it does not seem we will get anything more for now because they are going to be busy with the next expansion, but perhaps in a next expansion patch he will go further and get housing plots and interior furnishings into it.- Island sanctuary that's barely used for housing activities or even in general
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

if there wasn't a problem then there wouldn't be like 4-5 threads about it.
that's all i'll say.
