Well that was the whole purpose of the exploratory zones they were for relic. This forum hated Eureka and panned Bozja to death. The current forum blowback is childs play to what happened way back when. It's simple amusing to me that people now are saying they are what we should have gotten.

Relative to pre exploratory zones I have nightmares of running Quarn Hard 50 times for an rng drop for relic. If I had to choose between what we got and having to go back to those shenanigan's I'll take what we're getting. It's not clear what the 3rd step is going to be and it may not be what people are expecting just another 1500 tome drop for next stage. I suspect we'll find out with the live letter soon.

Obviously many liked the older relic form and they're entitled to their view. I wouldn't want to do that again and if I had to it would probably just be on my main. This is coming from a person with many alts who ran those exploratory zones to death. 8 marbles and 12 Cerebus and 5 bikes attest to that. I loved the exploratory zones and hope we get them again.

I have enough variable experiences of "run around the map and kill X number of things" gameplay. The moment I stepped in Eureka I knew it wasn't for me. Nor Bozja.

I enjoyed ARR+HW relic though. In that deeply masochistic way you enjoy them, of course.
I am happy with Manderville relic. It's not exciting, interesting? It is boring you say?
Then count me as someone who embraces boredom and hitting myself with a hammer. Like, wholeheartedly.

You already had actual tome weapons that you could have obtained through the style of gameplay you enjoy. Exploratory Zones and their relics did not have to be done away with this expansion for your sake.
