IMHO it's pretty much impossible to guess what direction SCH will get taken in at the best of times. It's progression over the years has been akin to herding cats and just as unpredictable.

If I had to guess then yeah, Rein's pretty close to what I'd suspect as well. The fairy getting neutered to the point of being a job specific minion, something SE appear to have wanted to do arguably since HW but never quite had the courage up until this point potentially.

Fun fact. In the ARR to HW era, having 2 characters in identical gear, but one at 50, the other at level 60. The level 50's fairy would actually heal for significantly more than the level 60s. I forget the exact difference but it was something like 30%. I'm not sure if it's still true today, but it was a highly amusing find back in the day. There's no denying that the fairy was far too powerful back in ARR, but SE seem to have been deathly afraid of it ever since to the point where EW might be the first expansion I can remember where it didn't eat a substantial nerf stealth or otherwise.
