202x is the era where blocking everything or demanding others to adjust for you is normal. And you are stating to him to just accept the current state? weird. Thats not how 202x goes.

A voidlist where you hide others from your screen (and also be hidden to them), is a fine solution. And this could even go along with allowing them to chat to you (since the blocklist works for that function). It doesnt disrupt anything, and when in the same party by random they will be displayed anyway (as even the current blocking excludes this case).

I mean here’s a news flash, you don’t have to mod, that fixes your issue.

As for voidlist, it’s long overdue it gets added to the game since SE and their “special task force” team are absolutely incompetent regarding helping people being stalked and harassed.

As for voidlist, it’s long overdue it gets added to the game since SE and their “special task force” team are absolutely incompetent regarding helping people being stalked and harassed.

I mean I'm talking about vanilla assets. If anything hypothetically speaking, there is probably some developer who made a feature known as "voidlist" that removes ugly eyesores you don't want to see that is available on a hypothetical plugin for the game; and hypothetically if such a feature exists maybe SE should implement it themselves since they already are just, hypothetically, implementing a lot of features from mods that may or may not exist like job icons beside names.

It's client side anyway, who cares. This game could use an actually functional blacklist that makes the offender vanish from the offended person's view. Would solve a lot of issues, especially if it were extended to things like entering a player's house. Imagine, rolling up to a bard concert and some idiot starts banging his bongos to mess with everyone's good time. Easy fix, just send that dude to the void. Bots under limsa making the draw distance unbearable? Void them all. Got a stalker? Never see him again.

I swear if it were anyone else proposing this, you guys would be in love with this idea. But it's the hroth with the pink pants so here we are, debating the merit of ... *checks notes* an adequate blocking system in a game that is currently a stalker's wet dream.
