What is your favorite job to play as?

After getting my new main (a Miqo'te) leveled a bit I've found that I've grown really fond of the Monk job. I dimissed it on this one as I already had a job I liked for melee dps and I'm trying to just main 1 job per role since I have less gaming time nowadays.

Monk seems to simple to play as but has the option to really go crazy with its abilities.

I also enjoy watching my Miqo'te punch and kick her foes around like Sabin and Tifa of FF fame.

Monk is definitely fun. I was super skeptical about the Job before I levelled it because I heard about all the positionals it has. Surprisingly, it felt super fluid instead.

Among all the Jobs, I think my favourite is... hard to say TBH, because I both like and dislike something about all of them. RDM perhaps, it's super colourful and that tail-end ranged combo feels good to garnish.

I'm a relatively new player (started early last year, took a break in the summer, then didn't return till a couple months ago), so I don't have experience with many jobs, for the record. But Dancer hooked me pretty much as soon as it was available to me (although starting with its lv. 60 kit was overwhelming at first, even if I understand how simple it is in hindsight).

Of course I love the way it plays, but another important element for a player like me is the class "fantasy", and DNC's definitely appeals to me the most -- so far. Also just really enjoy the novelty of playing a male character as a job/class that was usually exclusive to female characters in the games I grew up on, like FFT and Ragnarok Online (not an FF title, I know, but the class design was similar in that regard).

That said, I started as PUG/MNK, and while I haven't made much progress with it yet, I definitely enjoy it. Also been having fun with BLM, and I recently started experimenting with SAM, but I don't have much to say about that yet.

My only other 90 (next to DNC) is NIN, but ironically, I don't care much for it. I was loving Rogue, but the Ninja fantasy doesn't especially appeal to me, and the gameplay moved in a direction that didn't do much for me either. Got it to 60 so I could unlock Dancer, and then I fell off pretty hard. Only got it to 90 by feeding it MSQ exp, mostly for the benefit of my retainer lol.

My mains are WAR/BLM/AST, and I love playing as all three. WAR is just pure unga bunga. Some of the most raw feeling attacks in the game, Fell Cleave is one of if not the most viscerally satisfying attacks in the game. BLM is BLM, it's the one Caster left that requires forethought and knowing when and where is safe to lock down and start spamming Fire 4s. AST has been my favorite job since forever and I had a period where I just couldn't play it for a bit but I'm getting back on it. I wish they'd stop reworking it every expansion but..oh well. I love the aesthetic and the way the healing is a mix of immediate healing and setting up heals for later. Just, all three jobs are fun to play for me.

Dragoon, currently.

Since it's bound to be ruined in 7.0 I may as well have as much fun with it now seeing as how Summoner is still missing half a pantheon's worth of summons and abilities.

Monk just because I like fisting. Fisting is neat.

However I like almost all the classes. They all scratch whatever itch I happen to be having at one point or another.

Since the Paladin rework, its been my favorite job.

Its like Gunbreaker, but doesn't have funky timers on abilities.

Everything lines up exactly on 60 second windows and it is satisfying.

I love Dancer, that job is pure fun.

I also like Black Mage a lot, but it is a bit exhausting.

And Dark Knight is fun as well. Or at least it is fun to swing around that great sword, that never gets old for me.

But sadly I have to stick to White Mage. I can't really play jobs with buttons anymore because of a hand injury. Well, White Mage isn't too bad since the ShB rework. It finally feels like it has it's own identity and gameplay.

I'd have to say Bard - the job I started the game with and played through the MSQ with.
Though have to say Reaper is a very close second, and my performance is probably a little better.
