Assigning an Active Quest to your Main Map!

    Hello Devs and fellow players!

In my short time of playing FFXIV, I am loving the improvement of the quest structure over FFXI. I would like to suggest an improvement that would probably help out with some annoyances players are experiencing with the currently cumbersome menu navigation.

How about allowing the player to make a quest 'active' and have the objectives of the active quest show on the main map? This will allow players that want to focus on a quest be able to do so, without going back and forth to the journal in order to keep track of where to go next, which distracts from what we want-- Gameplay.

A side note of the map itself: Why is the minimap different from the main map? I really expected to see the minimap's range of NPCs/Mobs when I opened the map menu. I am wondering if it would be a big change to incorporate the minimap's circle on the main map itself. It would be nice to run and view the map and keep track of what mobs/NPCs are where actively without exiting the main map and looking at the minimap.

Please let me know either way if these suggestions/changes are considered.

    Thanks!

Have you seen the latest images of version 2.0 released during E3?

I believe one of them depicts exactly what you're suggesting: [1].
