SECOND UPDATE (as of Thursday May 25, 2023): Finally able to log back in. Unsure if anything got fixed or it fixed itself. If anyone else encounters this issue I hope you don't have to wait as long as my friend and I did (nearly a week).
UPDATE (as of Tuesday May 23, 2023): No fix from the patch unfortunately. Friend and I still unable to log in to the game. Friend continues to contact technical support (even phone support) but gets sent around in circles, saying things will resolve itself. I have submitted a bug report since that is what technical support told me to do if the problem still persists :/
Since the NA Data Center crash that happened on May 18th, a friend of mine and I have not been able to log in (them unable to log in since after the crash, and I being unable to log in a day after the crash) to the game. My friend was trying to access the Summoning Bell when the crash happened. I was teleporting from Mist to Empyreum, got 90k when I saw the Empyreum title card, then haven't been able to log in after that.
Our characters do not show up on the login screen, only showing ??? for their info as well as a warning sign with "To better facilitate the login process, the display of character information has been simplified." When we click to login, the World queue would pop up but then we would get 1016 telling us "World data could not be obtained. Please try logging in later."or we'd just straight up get the error message. I would right-click to "Retrieve Character Data" and would get the same 1016 error message. My friend's alts are available (I don't have any) but our mains are not...
We e-mailed/contacted support, they tried talking to a supervisor as well and we've just been told nothing can be manually done, the game will sort itself out, and "to wait it out". We've been waiting it out for a few days and it just seems ridiculous. How much longer do we have to wait? More days? Maybe weeks and months? We're not with AT&T and it doesn't feel like it's a network issue. Did all the basic fixes like restarting PC/internet, firewall, etc. Saw a few others on the forum have this issue but it seems to have fixed itself for them? Haven't seen many talk about this issue so we feel like we're just going crazy. Really hoping this gets properly looked at and fixed, or even hoping the maintenance will fix things... Just really sucks that all this is happening when the new patch is about to drop. Anybody else experiencing the same or similar thing?![]()
