Having a level 90 boost would help them get into the new content faster making it more enjoyable as they can play with their friends who are already there

With so much story and content in the game it can be pretty overwhelming for new players... Offering a higher level boost could make the game more accessible and appealing for those who can't commit a ton of time to leveling up.
I also think that having a level 90 boost might encourage players to try out different jobs and roles (I would ). This can only be a good thing as it could help balance queue times and create a more diverse community overall!

I know some people might be worried about inexperienced players jumping into high level content but maybe the developers could create an in depth tutorial or training mode specifically for >> boosted << characters, this way they'll have a basic understanding of their job before diving into endgame content.
    No.

The skill level of the average player is already far below what an MMO should be at.
Most casual players do not even know what a 2 minute rotation and burst cycle is.

If anything they should LOWER the level boosts to force people to actually learn to play the game before max level.

They usually do that during the next lvl cap increase, don't they?

I see them doing it again, since it is likely the majority of players who play XIV come and go, like every other MMO not named WoW.....Hence, the majority are not doing hardcore raids and whatnot.

Meaning? The pricks will most likely never play with the boost people.

Every MMO has P2W aspects. XIV is high-key on Digimon Masters Online territory though lol. You can basically beat stories with your wallet. I don't see the point in that, because the story is the entire point of FF games.

I do wholly back lvl boost though. It is basically casual mode for new players; you learn the job while playing solo. If you so choose after beating the story? Go do the raid BS......I wouldn't bother chasing that carrot though.

As someone who boosted an alt...
It took me less than a week to get to 90 and clear P5S.

And to add I had never played SMN ever (which was what I boosted).

to be honest i think you should be required to get level 90 on your own before you can even buy a level boost

I already frown upon current boosts only being 10 levels below the cap. Gaining the last 10 levels is already ridiculously easy, with the biggest gates to max level being gear upgrades and MSQ progression. Considering the price of the boost potions though, I suppose it's fair. If they brought within 20 levels of cap, I think a reduction to price would be warranted.
