So many people are sync queuing casual pvp together anyway. Why not just create another casual mode to allow people to sync que with at least one additional person.

There are lots of reasons they won't. Like the fact that they did it before and it failed. In mmo pvp a majority of premade groups don't want to play against other premade groups. What they really want is to 'PWN some Noobs!' which is fine until you're the person just wanting to play some games and you get the same 5 people over and over versus your poorly constructed team of random warm bodies. There would be a large exodus of people placed in that position and groups would start dropping once they got matched against people that regularly top 100 who got the bois together for a night of fun. You would start seeing teams dodging specific teams which always ends up happening in mmo pvp and historically happened in this one as well.

Personally, I'm not against the idea of a group queue. I just don't see a way to keep attendance up with the hurt feelings it will breed. They would have to bare minimum let us talk to each other again which they won't. Matchmaking would need to be improved which will probably finally happen 2-3 years from now before another major system adjustment to the mode. If nothing else, they could test the water by allowing duo queue on a trial basis and allowing chat with specifically that person.

As for the people doing the queue syncing they need to speak to that. It's abuse of the system and just like toxicity they don't seem to care to do a thing about it. If it's not going to be penalized, then just flag it legal. No reason to hold a faux sword of Damocles over the player base when you don't plan to actually actively moderate your game.

It would be nice if we could have premades in either casual OR ranked. I mean, people aren't really doing ranked anyway. If we could go with our friends in casual, would it really matter? It's just casual. I can almost understand not allowing premades in ranked, but if everyone goes in ranked with premades wouldn't that be fair?

When randoms know they have high chance of getting their ass kicked in this casual mode they won't play it anymore
This mode dies as your and your friends have no body to play against.
No one play a mode just to be the dummy for you and your friends
They won't even allow orngaized 8 men premade anymore in 24 men scale, what makes you think they will allows 5 men premade that can 100% control the CC pace.

They have tried both; didn't work
first is wolf den premade vs all; then feast premade vs premade
They even had ladder for Feast Premade vs Premade at one point

I don't know about everyone else, but I play MMO's to play with my friends. If I can't do content with my friends, I am not going to do the content. The fun is being able to do it with friends, not beating people - that's just bonus if it happens.

We were able to play as a premade group in Lost Ark pvp. We got slaughtered but we had fun together.

If no one is doing ranked, that sounds like a failure. That is simple too, isn't it?

I'd say no one's doing ranked due to lack of rewards. A frame kit isn't really worth the hassle, but if they did add something worthwhile I imagine there'd be a outrage
