    SAM's one hit kill.

PvP casual here and need a bit of help.

How exactly does this one hit kill work? It's really annoying playing with my Paladin and then randomly getting one shotted by some SAM.

I asked in the game but I couldn't get any straight answers.

So i was told to "simply" don't attack them.

What does this mean exactly? Do I avoid SAMs at all cost or is there a time period where I can't touch them or I get one shotted?

I was also told to not touch them while they have their LB but how exactly does one know when another player (a rival) has a LB ready to go?

Helpful tips and answers will be appreciated.

Heres your simple Samurai cheese guide.

If you're not the Samurai, Don't attack them when Chiten is up. (the blue looking buff.) If the debuff from chiten is applied to you and you are about to get hit with that LB pop whatever shield abilities you have, and you may narrowly survive, assuming the SAM doesn't have a lot of battle high.

If you are the Samurai and your LB gauge is full...

Pop Meikyo Shisui. This gives you 3 seconds of no stuns. Make yourself a gigantic nuissance and go slap a caster or a healer around. If they're a catgirl, that's even better. You want to make them target you. Thats when you use chiten. When those unsuspecting fools attack you they will recieve a debuff. If you use your LB on that person, they will instantly die* (Assuming they don't have a dmg shield up, and you don't have any debuffs that reduce your damage.) Not only will they die, but other people around them with that debuff also die.

Samurai have a buff called Chiten that reduces their damage taken and also reflects damage back at the attacker. Additionally if you attack the Samurai while he has this buff active, you will be debuffed when your attack is reflected back at you. This debuff is called the Kuzushi debuff.

The Samurai's limit break teleports the Samurai to its target and does an AoE (area of effect) attack. The attack does 24k damage to everyone within AoE range. However, any targets that are both cought within the AoE AND have the Kuzushi debuff at the time of the AoE will be hit instead for damage equivalent to 100% of their maximum HP (effectively one shotting them).

In the Crystalline Conflict mode, every jobs limit break gauge can be seen in the party list (including enemies, in the enemy party list)

In frontline and rival wings, you can not see the enemy limit break gauge.

Some ways to avoid this (from low skill level to high skill level) include keeping a watch on the enemy samurais limit gauge and:

    - Not attacking the Samurai while he has the Chiten buff acrive

    - Applying a shield to yourself to absorb around 5% of the max HP damage, and immediately using recuperate.

    - Silencing, binding, stunning, charming, fearing, or turning the samurai into a pig while he has the Chiten buff active

    - Recognizing who the Samurai is targeting with thier limit break and moving out of its predicted AoE range before the Samurai presses his limit break button

In Frontlines where you cannot see the enemy limit break gauge:

    - Recognize that any Samurai brave enough to run into 10+ players solo usually is attempting to AoE one shot everyone. This means that if you see a Samurai running bravely toward you with seemingly no care in the world, full of confidence... he likely has limit ready to go.

    - Bind, silence, sleep, stun, charm, fear, turn any Samurai with chiten buff active into a pig

    - Mark the samurai on the enemy team with raid markers to keep track of them running bravely into a full alliance.

Hope this helps you improve the quality of your games. Cheers

Do not forget to check Sams in aoe fight even if they are not your prime target you accidentally hitting them with a AOE also gives you the debuff and makes you subject to a oneshot.

I know it is hard to check 24 Sams in Aoe fights but its either that or not using AOE.

(Yes i had 24 Sams in Frontlines at one point.)

I like comparing it to Ravana in pve. You see the shield skill pop (very distinct animation with some experience), you stop hitting for a few sec. And you avoid using aoes if you're in a teamfight.
