I think I didn't make it clear for you, I run chocobo escort only once every two weeks, each time ~ 4-6 runs, and I am sitting on 42k seals. I can't see how that's requiring playing every day. Do you want it instantly given to you?

Also there are 3 camps to do chocobo escort, one is almost guaranteed to be free when the Hamlet it leads to is in battle phase.

I'm not sure I can entirely agree to this. Getting 25,000 (or 50,000) seals is not the opposite of opening the game up to normal players. In fact, I would dare say it is making it more accessible to normal players.

A normal player can choose to do this very easy caravan run, a few times a week and make forward progress. Those seals are guaranteed, and will not expire. It will even take the same amount of time (roughly) as a hard core player. The only difference is a hard core player will do 30 caravan runs in one day, whereas a 'normal' may do it over a week. Either way the end result is the same: After 30 runs both players have something to show for it.

Garuda is only inaccessible not due to the game itself but due to the community. Enough member sof the community decided that Garuda is now too hard to do and have choosen not to do it, thus making it harder for others to do it.

People who can not play every day still make positive forward progress. This is exactly what everyone has been asking for and wanting. Casual player may take longer (real time) to finish than a hard core player, but this should be accepted by all.

As for Monotony, it's only as monotonous as you choose to make it. If you say: I shall do ONLY caravan!... guess what.. it becomes monotnous.

Find a balance in other content (there is more than 1 way to get seals), and don't focus non-stop only on that.

So how do you expect them to gives you this GC weapons then? do one quest and tada, here you go one of the strongest weapon before relic? since i just mentioned at least 8 method to obtain seals and alternating them is still a monotony.

I am sorry if i came out as rude, but get used to it if you whine about something :P and thanks for the advice regarding location.

GC Corporal/Sergeant Weapon are the reward for casual players you are looking for. If you think they are not enough reward, then what kind of reward are you looking for. Lieutenant obviously requires more investment because they are better. If you can't spend 3 hours to get a Sergeant Weapon, then you probably don't have time to have all DoW/DoM lvl 50 as well.

The new Grand Company weapons are 25k points each, the armor is 6k.

Enfeebles more likely to succeed... yet still under the system were the enfeeble is less effective after the first cast. What's the point?

I don't mind the contrived nature of the AF weapon acquisition, I really don't. It's a fairly reasonable system for the game's de facto e-peen weapons, and the speed at which people have decoded everything is a far cry from the old days. We'll probably be seeing people with AF weapons by the end of the week, honestly.

What makes this update absolutely terrible is the GC promotions. 50k seals for some weapons that are kinda-sorta on par with Ifrit and not anywhere near as good as Garuda? Either they're making new BS stat calculations in order to improve the weapons like they did with "DPS" and Garuda weapons in the near future, or this is just the most disrespectful gauge of the playerbase intelligence I've seen. All people complain about is grind, and wanting to do things in a more interesting fashion, and all they do is make the grinds worse.

I'm glad to see they aren't abandoning faction leves, I hope the stuff which drops is pretty cool.

    Well, to be fair:
25k seal for promotion -- You do not loose this promotion and it enables you to continue with other GC quests and more ranks, plus all the privileges of being an Officer. I do not expect the next promotion to be 25k (a guess of 4-5k would be more reasonable).

25k for a weapon -- That's a lot, yes, but gosh those are good weapons! Let's take a few examples:
Mogstaff: Magic Accuracy +30, and magical Critical Hit Rating +15
Flame Lieutentant's Cudgel: Magic Accuracy +43, HP +70, MP -70, Earth Resistance +15

These two are on par, and I would say the cudgel is better (A 1-handed weapon versus 2, allowing you to use a shield for more stats). I have Mogstaff and I will use the Cudgel instead.

It's more fun with WHM stuff:
Ifrit's Cane: Attack Magic Potency +30, Fire Resistance +15
Malevolent Mogwand: Magic Accuracy +30, Magic Critical Hit Rating +15
Flame Lieutenant's Wand: Vitality +10, Healing Magic Potency +15 (Enhancement Magic Potency +7)

Even without the bonus Enhancement from 4 flame pieces, this wand is much better than Iffy or Moogle drops.

Even the Flame Lieutenant's Bow looks on par with the COMBINED stats of the Moogle And Ifrit bow:
    Ifrit's Bow: Attack Power +30
    Mischievous Mogbow: Accuracy +30
Flame Lieutentant's Bow: Attack Power +30, Accuracy +20

Yes, these weapons are so worth 25k, especially if you compare them to the time needed to get the drop from the Primal fights. People wanted a consistent way to make forward progress to an item. Well, 500-1000 seals (provided you do not loose the very easy caravan run) is a VERY guaranteed way forward to an item on par with Ifrit or Moogle.

Ask yourself, 30 Caravan runs for a guaranteed weapon of your choice, or 30 Ifrit/Moogle runs for.... ?
