As someone who travels a lot for work and is eager to pursue even small achievements in the game such as these GC weapons, charging 25,000 seals for both a rank and then per weapon is exactly the opposite of opening the game up to normal players.

When we reflect on the state of the game we currently have Garuda which, for the most part is inaccessible to the general player base, relics which (accurately) demand a large amount of attention and time investment and now the Grand Company weapons and equipment which push the players through monotonous game play. What good does this do for people who cannot play every day?

I'm not sure I can entirely agree to this. Getting 25,000 (or 50,000) seals is not the opposite of opening the game up to normal players. In fact, I would dare say it is making it more accessible to normal players.

A normal player can choose to do this very easy caravan run, a few times a week and make forward progress. Those seals are guaranteed, and will not expire. It will even take the same amount of time (roughly) as a hard core player. The only difference is a hard core player will do 30 caravan runs in one day, whereas a 'normal' may do it over a week. Either way the end result is the same: After 30 runs both players have something to show for it.

Garuda is only inaccessible not due to the game itself but due to the community. Enough member sof the community decided that Garuda is now too hard to do and have choosen not to do it, thus making it harder for others to do it.

People who can not play every day still make positive forward progress. This is exactly what everyone has been asking for and wanting. Casual player may take longer (real time) to finish than a hard core player, but this should be accepted by all.

As for Monotony, it's only as monotonous as you choose to make it. If you say: I shall do ONLY caravan!... guess what.. it becomes monotnous.

Find a balance in other content (there is more than 1 way to get seals), and don't focus non-stop only on that.
