While XIV is still largely unoptimized, I noticed playing this on my laptop it takes quite a bit of time to load on start on/zoning, but on my PC it's no more than a 5 seconds at worst, so graphical lag is still the main d/c culprit since it freaks DirectX out.
Ironic that you have a signature with the words "Pluggin your ears won't change the truth", I have been playing FFXIV since beta and not had the DC issue before so how is it all of a sudden hardware related ?

It only started happening since 1.22 for me.

It's always been hardware related, if you actually paid attention to a lot of people's problems and the setups they had when you mention "I haven't had x problem before" it's always because while some people think they have a good setup, there's always 1 thing that XIV doesn't like which hinders performance for some.

This is why if you even watch some people's non sped up videos you can notice a vast difference in load times for people, which is why some people actually time out even if nothing with XIV specifically is crashing them. The most common problem, the patcher, works for people but it also "never works, have to utorrent it" for others. As long as XIV remains unoptimized, PC setups are a common cause for a lot of issues in XIV since there's no "standard" for this game beyond leaving AO off.

If a lot of people has the issue, it must be server specific since the 2 crowded servers I play on I haven't heard anyone having zone crashes constantly or the shouts would be flooded with "why am I always dcing? ashakhwsuihdhajsh"..I actually haven't seen a lot of topics regarding non-DX related crashes in awhile either.

That makes no sense i never crashed/ d/c like this till 1.22 so where are you pulling this from? Constantly Ro's and crashing since a certain patch is not hardware issue's.

I haven't run into this issue with 1.22 nor has anyone in any of my shells either nor am I seeing people raging about it via shouts so it can't be a universal problem. The only problems I've been seeing from a lot are newer (and beta) drivers for Nvidia isn't liking XIV at all on some cards.

So 1.21 im fine but 1.22 my pc decides to say i don't work well with this game anymore? If it was not a problem it would not have been fixed in the bugs section.

Funny thing is, they also fix bugs people don't run into. Just because there's a bug doesn't mean it's a bug that affects everyone, which is the point: It's not a universal problem like some people are letting it off to be.

"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

Nobody is claiming that everyone is suffering this issue, we are simply saying it is an issue.

Of course SE is fixing a bug which doesn't exist plausible deniability and all that stuff eh.

So I think you mean its not hardware related but SE's inability to program correctly and/or provide decent client to server data transfer.

Stop being a white knight for a second and let us be realistic about this.

I suppose next you will blame peoples hardware set up for crashing when you tab in fullscreen or when you skip a cutscene ?

Maybe its Microsoft's fault that they didn't design DirectX properly or maybe we can blame the moon or the sun instead.
