    The "frozen ground" mechanic should work just like Auto-Run

    ...instead of "choose one direction and go". You know in Auto-Run where your character slowly rotates to match the camera angle? I think this plus a spike of movement speed would be more ideal. If you want to keep the bind then keep it, but allow us to change direction mid-travel.

    That's part of the mechanic. If you chose the wrong direction or went too far or not far enough, then the mechanic may have been failed.

    Movement skills always ignore slipery terrain, and any other movement limitation short of bounding you in some manner, it's worth keep in mind if you play jobs that have any kind of movement.
