PvP gets a tournament for each Fanfest again

I'm not gonna comment too much on it, I posted some months ago, that I don't think this PvP is really suitable for PvP Ranked/Competition, but they wanna go for it apparently. So there will be some hype and more casual teams participating.

I would wish there would be something similar for World First Raiders in their race, similar to WoW, willing sponsors should be there..

(Imagine you make 2nd place in a tiebreaker final match and all you get is an in-game title compared to 22.500 USD LOL)

A team-based Crystalline Conflict tournament for a mode that does not allow you to create a team and play against other random teams, and doesn't allow you to que with a single friend.

Gather 4 friends, create your team and... wait until the FanFest to play your first match? Against the 4-5 teams of NA players that do regular custom matches with each other? Or at best, beg in random PvP discords to be included in some custom matches with players who know left from right with the very limited time left to get any practice.

This is great news for the 15-20 people in NA who regularly organize discord custom matches with each other as it is a garaunteed prize money for them, and will be a fun noob stomping exercise in 1-sided blow-outs. But for the average player or new player interested in the tourney your chances are infinitely approaching 0.

Last time NA had wintrading drama and in JP basically most teams boycotted the tournament because of other kind of drama. Can't wait to see what happens this time!

At least the prizes are better for 1st place. For those who won the entire thing back in 2018 their sub was paid for 3 entire years.

Other than that I don't know...I'll also have to agree with Sinstrel. It isn't a coincidence that you see some of the same people at the top of the ladder, but besides the cash prize you have additional tickets for fanfest waiting to be claimed. Seeing that it's better than the rank rewards that the top currently receive what serious pvper isn't going to compete for them?
