Raise macros might not completely prevent duplicate raises (if at all), but the latter is still more annoying than the former.

See, a functional Raise macro can simply be "/p Raising <t>. <se.3>", you don't need anything further than that, nor anything further than that assists in anyway, but you very often get the jokey raise macros that go for multiple lines, or are so long that will split into multiple lines in the chat box anyway, and those can get kinda obnoxious.
Skill macros in general can be annoying, I once I had a Praet run where the Tank had 4 different Provoke macros, all designed to be purposefully cringe, and he religiously set them off every 30 seconds like Provoke was part of his rotation, you also often get LB macros where people will put in entire anime speeches on a macro that goes off 4-5 times in an Alliance Raid... at some point you start hunting for the LB just to stop them from filling up the chat box.

Uh please no sound. That’s just annoying. I block everyone who uses sound in their macros.
All we need is already available in the party list and raise macros are superfluous anyway.

In my opinion, I think the best solution to duplicate raises is that a dead player can only have one raise effect at a time, and any other similar effects are not applied/refunded to avoid waste resources and double work.
