    Wouldn't a skill like BLU's Sticky Tongue be cool for tanks?

    The other example is WAR's PVP Action Blota, it draws the target instantly to your side. Wouldn't work against bosses obviously, but for pulling purposes I think it would be pretty neat. Yeah, I get it, we have Provoke and ranged attacks for that, but come on, it would be cool to have something different once in a while. That's why I like Monk's Chakra so much, because it does something else rather than what all melee jobs do when they're not on melee range. And I really think draws, knockbacks and movement mechanics in general should be implemented more in the game.

    It would be much appreciated for annoying ranged monsters that won't get in the pack for AOEing. Especially when there are two who have come to a halt in different places.

    That's why I miss Fluid Aura and Blank Shot and yes I know too many people liked to troll groups with those. Course I don't want this for mobs but for other people. If only for the rare time I'm on a tank and someone is being quite oblivious to where they should be and neither healer has used rescue on them. Or on the even rarer chance proper rescue use was done only for the person to choose death.

    Especially with how caster enemies work in this game. Sure you can technically interrupt them but you have at best maybe 1 server tick to move them before they just start casting again.

    In other games they are usually locked out of that spell for at least 8 seconds and resort to auto attacks during that time, which means they will follow you.

    Here's more simple solution:
    1) Approach the pack in such a way that most melee mobs are between you and the caster
    2) Cast a single AoE spell to get aggro on melee mobs as you run through them
    3) Get close to the caster and continue your AoE rotation
    4) ???
    5) Problem solved

    Now do that with 2 casters that are on opposite sides of the room and there is no wall to conveniently LoS them.
    Or even just a W2W pull with caster enemies in pack 1 & 2 but no wall to conveniently LoS them at the end.

    What you usually end up with is 1 trash mob still standing at almost full HP for no good reason other than tanks not having the tools to reliably deal with ranged enemies.


    Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? No, because those scenarios only happen in dungeons and those are a cakewalk anyway. It just says a lot about the design when our tank tools all essentially boil down to "do more damage" and "take less damage".
