I seriously wish they would just redo the whole housing system. Or heck keep the cruddy one we have, make it super premium and finally give us instanced housing and be like ESO where you can purchase multiple unique instances across the world.

At the very least the next Island Sanctuary update will be allowing non-house owners to decorate their instance with outdoor furnishing.

SE doesn't need to create reasons for players to use their houses. It's up to the player to have reasons to use it.

The problem is that people have lives. Even the people that literally live on this game will likely at some point have something come up that forces their attention away from the game for 45 days. That's a sixth of a year, which is already a short time, and it's even shorter if you compare it to years worth of active subscriptions.

You could be dedicated to this game for years, and still lose it for absolutely no reason. People move/relocate, people have health issues, natural disasters occur. I'm sorry to tell you that most of us don't lead perfect lives where we will be guaranteed to always have a chance at logging in every 45 without issue over the course of multiple years.
