These umbrella mounts were released in China months ago. It’s something that’s been expected to show up for months now. It’s not some sort of conspiracy, it’s just being released to us now.

The stuff in the mogstation has nothing to do with in game rewards you feel haven’t lived up to expectations. Also the moogle event always happens about 30 days before the major patches hit. It always has only one new item, usually cosmetic glamour stuff, never a new mount, and old stuff most players who have done most the content in the game don’t need anyway.

So there isn’t some sort of “omg bleed them dry with the mogstation and make them sub because of moogle tomes” conspiracy here. The only thing here is predictable releases of stuff most people who have played this game long enough already know is coming.

Edit: Carbuncle mounts are recolors sold separately, so it’s no surprise the umbrella mounts are too.

Wow it's like people forget where things like these umbrellas come from. From a different version of the games' store that's ran by again a different team then the dev team. Even our store is ran by a different section. I'm sure this will all be forgotten or willfully ignored when Moonfire Faire rolls around. Also the moogle tome events always run right before a major patch drops. I swear some of you definitely chose to be willfully ignorant about things just so you can have yet another thing to complain about.

Edit: oh n they probably cost that much cause they have flight animation and are account wide.

It really baffles the mind that we can't be dissatisfied because it's made by a different team lol or that it's optional, or that it was made in a different time. It doesn't excuse the laziness. It's literally the pod animation with a fashion accessory with some cartoon effects thrown in, apparently that's effort. Just as much effort as the undyable onesies in the store

Excuse you, yoship had to personally explore the abandoned mines below the headquarters to painstakingly drag the switch to make an item account wide to the surface. He will have to do so again for the next mount. It's back breacking work, you arm chair devs wouldnt understand. /s

Examples would be diet pills, get-rich-quick schemes, masters degrees, and needing to watch the Captain Marvel movie before viewing Endgame. There is nothing that should make you feel like you need an umbrella mount, especially with the view point you have being it's just a "pod animation". You could just simply shrug your shoulders and move on. But instead you feel compelled to jump on a dog pile of the dev team because the game in its current state oppresses you.
