Imagine judging someone for buying something they find entertaining with their own cash when you yourself have likely bought tons of useless things that provide entertainment to you as a person that tons of others would deem as 'bad decisions'. I pray you've never smoked, drunk alcohol or done any form of drugs, ordered fast food instead of making something cheap at home, all of which are zenith wasting money on bad decisions. Heck, buying any video game at all is a bad decision since its money you can be spending on long-term investments to secure your future, we're all making bad decisions just by existing on this forum.

But if you enjoy being a hypocrite, all the power to ya. I'm just here with my bucket of popcorn to get my daily fix of entertainment from topic#9577 of why mogstation is evil from the same 5-10 faces you see in all these topics with such laughter inducing opinions like 'why does the mogstation put out so much stuff when the game takes long to put out content' when the most basic common sense would tell anyone with slight critical thinking that creating a single 3D model is infinitely less work than creating an entire patch. Not to mention the fact they're separate teams, so the mogstation team can work on whatever they like whenever they want without adherence to scheduling, hence a much more often release schedule.

Honest question for the SE defenders. IF SE can find people separate from the dev team to create cash shop items on such a regular basis, why can't they find people to make more items for the game? We have lots of systems in the game this could be added to. Mogtomes, Beast dailies, old Fates, new achievements, Eureka, Bozja, PvP, Golden saucer, Chocobo racing, TT card tournaments, Verminnion tounraments, hell just basic login points.

I am not saying close the cash shop. It is just this separate entity seems to be able to pump out items pretty well.

Because in reality, the mogstation team likely isn't even exclusive to FF14 - its likely a division within the company that handles microtransaction assets for the majority of their games. They never 'found' people to create the mogstation team, they already existed and just had an extra task put onto them.

On top of that, its not like Yoshi-P's team isn't looking to find & hire more devs for FF14, they have job postings open all the time. But when your job requirements stipulate having to move to Tokyo & know how to read/write & speak Japanese along with having extensive coding experience, it can be quite a difficult task to find the right person to fill the job, hence 'just find more people' isn't exactly a valid solution. There's a reason Yoshi-P says most of their new hires are basically former FF14 fans that graduated from colleges & universities with comp-sci degrees.
