for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
Whats wrong with liking the moon? Have you never stared up at the night sky?We need Yoshi P to make a statement and promise to ban people illegally modding the game and engage in 18+ activities. These people make it so obvious that a GM can catch them easily. They post lewd acts on Twitter and their search info often contains innuendos like "Mare" which refers to an illegal third party tool and illegal acts with animals.
This game's reputation is already tainted by these people, with Kotaku writing articles about the "brothels" in this game and Asmongold interviewing a courtesan. They are turning this game into a haven for degeneracy.
And now, these illegal people are SELLING third-party modifications behind paywalls to support this illegal industry, which is clearly against the TOS. Will Square Enix take a stand and ban these illegal people for engaging in illegal acts? They would go after wholesome mods like fan FF9 remakes but not go over FF14 R18 remake. Why is this? Time for action, Square Enix.
The bigger problem is, there is no reliable way to detect mods. And SQEX is already overburdened with banning botters.
Cheers
"overburdened" lmao, that's a good one, have you ever seen under limsa or any other major city ? literally nothing is being done, there are hundreds of lalas under there every single day
I hope you realize there is a stark difference between modding in a video game and real life crime and drug issues. One has literally zero impact on your life and can actively be avoided should you desire. In fact, you'll never even see it so long as you don't mod yourself. The other... can range from health problems to death. I don't think you're gonna die anytime soon because some random catgirl has bigger boobs or some bunny boy has a weird fetish."Just ignore them. They're not doing anything to you or to affect your time." "So what if they're are using mods and not complying with the ToS. They're increasing subscription count. You don't have to use the mods if you don't want to."
This is the exact mindset that has turned what were once beautiful cities into dystopic hell holes filled with crime, homelessness, drugs, and lack of law enforcement. Just absolutely complacent and disgusting viewpoints that make little sense, and give the impression that they too partake in these kind of activities, which is why to go to these lengths to defend it. IOW, this is the worse defense for what is clearly degenerate behaviour that WILL eventually sunder anything and everything good about the game. If you can't see that, then you're already lost.
I can't believe anyone would actually defend this crap. Some of you make me absolutely sick. Seriously. Go ahead and make seem like I'm the one with the problem though, simply because I prefer the game and its communities to remain within the rating it has been given for the shelves.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
yeah I'm pretty sure those frequent RMT ban reports were all fake news anyway
please
You didn't know? Modding eyebrows to your character is just innocent fun until it spirals out of control and you just set a pet adoption clinic on fire.I hope you realize there is a stark difference between modding in a video game and real life crime and drug issues. I couldn't agree more with your concerns about the modding issue in FFXIV, especially when it comes to the Mare Plugin and its activities. It's truly alarming to see how this is affecting the game's reputation, and I believe it's high time for Square Enix to take action. We need Yoshi P to make a statement and promise to ban people illegally modding the game and engage in 18+ activities. The Mare Plugin is not only an illegal mod, but it also creates a divide within the community, leaving those who choose not to engage in such activities feeling outcasted and excluded. As you pointed out, the open display of these activities on social media is a clear violation of the game's TOS, and it's puzzling why Square Enix hasn't taken a stronger stance against it.
We need Yoshi P and the rest of the FFXIV team to step in and put an end to this growing issue. The game's reputation is at stake, and if left unchecked, these modding activities could drive players away and tarnish the image of FFXIV. It's crucial that the dev team takes a stand against illegal mods and enforces strict penalties for those who engage in 18+ activities using these plugins.
We, as a community, must also do our part to combat this problem. Spreading awareness and reporting players who engage in these activities can help to maintain the integrity and spirit of FFXIV. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that Eorzea remains a welcoming place for all players, free from the negative impacts of illegal mods like the Mare Plugin.
Therefore, I propose the following final solution:
