You can literally upload your characters UI settings by clicking the gear icon at the loggin screen and selecting upload and then download those settings amongst any of your alts across all platforms.

Dont tell me you didnt know about this

Th reason is:

I’ve tried this and it didn’t work for me. Maybe I did it wrong. I was only able to save the setting to same character

I've tried it with all of them, and it only ever lets me download to the SAME character, not to an alt.
