    PLEASE FIX WAIT TIMES

    evertime i sign on to play ff14, its a 30min plus wait to do anything outside of roulettes, even the new deep dungeon takes an hour to get in AND ITS THE LATEST CONTENT. i have not experienced this with any other mmo, i shouldnt be paying a sub if 50% of the time im "playing" is sitting in queues. please fix or you will loose more player base.

    Deep dungeons are finicky creatures if you're not running the preferred floors of them it can take a while for them to pop if you're not running with a friend or trying to solo them. Wait times also depend on what you're trying to run and when you're trying to run them. Like trying to run Rival Wings for instance outside the small active time that the discord or two dedicated to it tend to run it will never see it pop.

    There is a problem mostly on EU server with German and French player.
    Their default duty finder setting is limited to only their client language.
    So when these, mostly new D or F player look for a duty, the tool only matches them with player who also have the D/F activated and that is a very limited amount.
    So any specific duty queue takes 30+ min instead of 2.
    Once they "fix" it by activating all language button the issue is fixed.

    But your issue could also be a timezone one?
    Do you play in the correct region? Are you active at unusual times like 9am ?

    A issue with all deep dungeon duty has always been the inbetween floor's.
    People usually just do the first 10 or they just continue and get in the next floor with the same player as the previous one.
    So when you are stuck at floor 21-30 with not getting a invite, the you could try it at a more active time or just reset it and do it again. Even duo with no upgrades is a viable and easy option for the duty finder floors.


    Oh, and if you don't like the queue times then go ahead and stop playing. No one should be forcing you to play a game you don't like.
    But when you find a MMO with better queue times for all roles older and newer content then please tell me.
    I have not yet found one that comes even close to FFxiv when it comes to in-game not organized duty finder groups.

    I jumped in the new deep dungeon solo. I died 3 times and finally beat the first boss. They need to scale it better for single players. I shouldn’t have to perform the amount of rotations that I had to do for each enemy. It was mind mumbling boring knowing I had to do the same rotations for the same amount of adds for each of the floors.

    The dungeon is the same as the other 2 and they never changed the traps to hurt enemies or made any effort for physical traps and puzzles. Make your game fun and not a boring one and done grind. The experience is not fun at all. I’ll skip this one too. Only came back to save my house wasn’t looking forward to playing.

    What do you mean by rotation? Also the landmine traps do hurt the enemies. Soloing a deep dungeon is about the challenge of knowing what you're fighting, how the rooms tend to be and hoping the RNG gods are in your favor.

    Deep Dungeons are primarily balanced for teams of 4. They certainly aren't balanced for solo players with no aetherpool which it sounds like might have been the case for you (though I could be wrong).

    As someone working on a solo run of Orthos, it's certainly not the same as the other 2. Landmines do hurt enemies, as well as silencing traps will also force them to only auto attack like the player.

    As well, the early floors are way overtuned but only in how long it takes to kill stuff, plus your low aetherpool level and lack of level cap skills initially. It gets faster, though if you're solo you'll still be doing low damage compared to groups.

    It's not easy content, you have to pay attention and know what you're doing. You can't just steamroll it like normal stuff or get carried (most of the time).

    As for OP, I have no idea why the queue would take so long. I'm also on Crystal and I didn't find Orthos queues to be very long, though I only farmed 21-30 for aetherpool and then went on my own. At normal times of day very few duties have 30+ minute queues.

    What time are you playing and what server? In Aether, Orthos 21 matched queue pops almost instantly during peak hours.

    I appreciate the challenge that is PotD, HoH and Orthos. I do sort of wish that there was a scaled solo option that did NOT have the achievements tied to it. Sure, make the traps just as frequent and deadly. Scale the mob/boss difficulty down a little bit. Make it more accessible but leave those rare titles to the players dedicated to clearing 4-player content solo.
