[Suggestion] Remove class/job requirements to turn in relic upgrade quests

I know there are other quests that are similarly impacted by this, but keeping my suggestion to the one I know for sure. With beast tribes I (kinda) understand why we need to be the class that we picked up the quest as. You want to give credit to the class that did the work because of scaling. Why do we need this for other quests, especially when they're job-specific rewards?

I get that it's very specific and not everyone would deal with this, but for me turning in my Manderville upgrade quest for my BLM was annoying. I bought the items needed to upgrade and went to turn them in. Weapon needs to be in my inventory or armory chest. Switch jobs. No, you need to be 90. Switch jobs. No, you need to be the job whose weapon it is. I don't keep multiple weapons for one job 1) why would you? and, 2) my armory chest is full. So I did an extreme trial, used the weapon chest for BLM, switched weapons, and could do the quest.

It's only a couple minutes of my life so I'm not mad about it or anything, mostly confused. I suppose the same will be true with the tool quests of needing duplicate everything, but the armoury chest isn't large enough to handle it.

Suggestion: Let me turn in the relic and items as any job. There's no exp reward for it or anything that would *require* that I be a BLM.

It may be that the back end of the system needs you to be job X to give you corresponding weapon X, and it would go askew if you switched to a different job.

job specific means job specific. they modify this system it could have very bad changes to the whole system they didn't want to change. the manderville weapon isn't annoying. you are just lazy. its a level 90 relic weapon so what sense does it make to be on any class below that level to get it. that would be like a level 25 able to get the base arr relic although its not for that class lol. doesn't make much sense. as for your armory inventory. take some time to go through that. take out stuff you aren't using or need and get rid of it. theres never a need to have that full ever. im going to guess you never changed the option to have new gear go to your inventory instead of armory chest. also, any relic you need to upgrade with a catalyst you have always needed to handover. thats why its good practice to keep some low level trash weapon for said class so you can do the trade in easily. honestly, manderville is foolproof and simple. you just lazy lol

Yea that part is annoying for no good reason. I wish they would just let you upgrade the weapon without having to unequip it.

would be real nice if you did not need to have an additional sword or axe or whatever in inventory I agree to that

I really don't see the point in this suggestion. It just means that your inventory gets jam-packed instead of your armoury chest, and you need to manually check every piece of gear you receive.

If it goes into the armoury chest by default, either it's there and ready for the recommender to equip, or you just occasionally go through it and chuck unneeded pieces into the inventory then, instead of doing it constantly.

Here's why I might keep on-hand multiple weapons for a job: One weapon is what it's currently using. The others are the relics I'm working on for that job.

This only becomes a problem when the weapon the job is currently using is the relic.

For the Manderville weapons, after turning in the first enhancement quest, you unlock the replica vendor, who is right there. In the future, you can buy and equip a replica, turn in the quest, then trash the replica. (Another option is to do the same, but with the artifact weapon from Old Sharlayan.) Still a bit fiddly, for sure, but it saves space over always having a second weapon on-hand, and it doesn't require running an Extreme.

the suggestion makes sense because alot of the time you end up with trash gear you never use. Also with the option with expert turnin with gc to hide your armory items its only natural setting it to your inventory makes sense. its easily dealt with. you can turn in or vendor stuff asap. it makes more sense then filling your armory up with trash you probably won't use. it also helps alleviate the issue the op is having.

But as I said, putting it in the inventory just means you fill your inventory with the same trash, except now it's taking up space that could be occupied by other types of items, and you're likely to miss out on noticing equipment that you can and will use – or would have used if you noticed you had it five levels ago.

The GC filter also lets you block out gear that is currently part of a gearset while leaving unused armoury chest items visible.
