[Suggestion] Close off Aether, Primal and Crystal to new character creation temp!

Would be cool if we had region-wide queues for dailies and things. One thing I see a lot are dynamis players traveling to crystal for the queues so they can get their dailies done. I feel like if we had that, but otherwise put a pause on DC travel in general when a new DC dropped, that would allow the DC to actually breathe and form its own culture and economy without it being ruined by people just traveling to places that were already established. Probably would've helped to have dynamis release with half the worlds it released with, but it was also pretty obvious that dynamis was made to future proof against the anticipated population influx 7.0 could bring, so, eh. It's a bummer. I know people who wanted to go to dynamis to have an all new community experience. They wanted to spearhead initiatives on a new world and be at the forefront of, like, a whole new frontier. Instead 90% of the population bought a house and then dc traveled to crystal. I don't think any new DC will ever get to come into its own ever again now that DC travel exists.

Same will happen with the new EU DC they want to create, the new worlds (Sagi and Raiden) are already barely surviving, the economy is absolutely dead and the population is very tiny, while Phantom and Alpha got quite a few people, but when they release 8 new worlds with the new EU DC, they will just become dead worlds as the EU doesnt have the population to populate a new DC, and yet they seem to be going ahead with that idea no matter the fact that it will make an already tinier community (compared to NA) spread out even more, not only that but also create empty worlds that will end up like Materia,and the daring few that will move there will go back to Light to do content. Same issue, different region, they actually dont have a clue what they are doing and it shows.

And by 6.0, they're clamoring for more worlds because they're absolutely packed.

They were packed after the massive WoW "exodus", but a lot of people stopped playing the game, went back to WoW, or are playing both games, we are not in that phase anymore, the "packed servers" phase is gone, Sagittarius and Raiden are good evidences of that, there's really not that many people there, and even the other worlds dont have that many queues except when all the bots that are under Limsa decide to log in (there's hundreds of them under there, and it goes for new gridania as well and uldah)

Yeah, I think outside of temporarily disabling DC travel whenever they stand up a new DC/server, the only way to help force life into it would be through rewarding or punitive measures. Like, you get Road to 80 from the new world, but you only get to benefit from it while you're on the world that granted it. That would discourage people from DC traveling for dailies. Or maybe the daily roulettes grant extra tomes if you run them on a new world. That would encourage people from established DCs to travel TO the new worlds. I think DC travel has been great, but they definitely need to offer something that counteracts it to give new worlds a chance at developing.

This makes a lot of sense. Since road to 80 is there to incentivise server growth it shouldn't be an active buff while world traveling.
