like Materia ? The datacenter that is still an absolute ghost town to this day after a year or more ?

Dynamis is dead, and even the people that decided to move there are 24/7 on other more established datacenters, Seraph is the only world that is sort of "alive", the other 3 are ghost towns and if you look at housing it gives you a good image of that
Materia has multiple issues with it that Dynamis doesn't need to deal with though, hence it was a doomed prophecy from the get-go.

Dynamis was never meant to become super populated during 6.X series - it's always been meant to handle 7.0 (technically it was meant for 6.0, but chip shortage for network servers was extremely brutal), where DC travel will become basically impossible due to the massive amounts of returning players causing multi-hour long transfer queues, and where most likely, every single Aether/Crystal/Primal server will be placed on lockdown, force-funneling new characters to Dynamis and effectively forcing them to play on it (also highly suspect they'll force-return every player back to Dynamis thats DC traveling when the game goes for 7.0 maintenance to alleviate queues for other servers from DC travellers). The only reason they added it early was to make sure that the hardware & backend of it was actively operational instead of sticking it in right before 7.0 and having it suffer from failures right before the moment its crucially needed.
