Have Crashing Issues...

So everything was just fine until that big crash of their servers a few weeks ago. Now the game has started instantly freezing the whole screen along with a buzzing sound from my speakers. First one, then another then yesterday I got hit at least half a dozen or more times. I gradually configured it to be 100% clean, but still had the issue. Now as it was a total freeze, the ONLY way I can recover is to pull the plug on my computer.

Sooo I don't see a "scan and repair" function that another MMO has... but I do see a "restore" function... should I try that? Will it not goof up all my settings (settings arrived at over at least 2 years of playing). I do have one more thing to try, figuring out how to eliminate "overwolf" (think it got installed worth something called MobiLytics, something like that).

Looking to see what steps I can take in what order. I'm not real familiar with the m$ OS, have used something else for the past 40 years! A word on deleting overwolf would be appreciated.

I tried the "Restore" function and waited out a 90G download.. that does NOT fix the issue. Anyone have any idea what I can do next, I am out of options other than to quit playing... oh, and it gets worse... I got a message about a response to my ticket (guess they mean bug report) but it froze then. 5 mins later I managed to get a min in the game and I could find NO messages in the Support tab... nor did I get any email. At my wits end...

What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac/PS4 etc.)
Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters?
At what point does the issue occur?
How often does the issue occur?

Could you provide the exact error message received?
Are you running any additional programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
When the crash happens, is the PC over heating at all?
Were any update or changes made to the PC at the time of the crash?
Does this issue occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?

All steps taken to resolve the issue:

Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.
