If you're looking for an MMO that always has something for you to do, FFXIV isn't it. Especially if you like party content. The game is only active at night. Try finding stuff in PF early in the morning - you'll wait hours.

FFXIV is more focused on the social aspect of gaming. If you want something that is more geared towards gameplay, I suggest you try looking for a new game. Preferably something with PvP.

Personally, I recommend Guild Wars 2. It still remains to this day the best MMO experience I've played, despite me not playing it anymore. I remember taking a break from FFXIV to go back to it, and it made me wonder why I stuck with FFXIV for so long. The reason is raiding - that's really the only thing I play FFXIV for. And in my eyes, it's all it's really good for. For absolutely everything else (story, open-world, combat, build/job variety, dungeons, world-building, PvP, inventory management, glamour, dyes, etc.), GW2 does it better.

There's a reason why games like League, CS/Valorant, and Fortnite are still popular to this day.
