I like "Answers". In fact, every time I hear the section that starts with "Walk free" I get chills.
I think it would be a good end of 1.0 song to play, too.

Will You Marry Me Camate? :3
I myself, find parts of the song kind of corny sometimes <_< I'd be happy with a new song. One by Hansi Kürsch of Blind Guardian in a duo with James Labrie of Dream Theater.... (but that's just me!)
Retired FFXI character: Ranok of Sylph

So Dalamud finally hits, and this music plays as everything is in flames and turning to shit, fades out to "see you in 2.0".
I think this music would fit that scene, Do'ett Yoshi-p.

I saw Susan Calloway at "Distant Worlds" in NYC last year. She performed both Memoro de la S^tono/Distant Worlds and Answers. I remember being very annoyed with her rendition of Distant Worlds and slightly annoyed by Answers (even though that is 'her' song). I also didn't think her voice was very good. ALTHOUGH... some vocalists are great on stage and some are not. A live performance is always as good as the vocalist can sing on command. (Basically, this is my way of saying I didn't like her voice, but I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt if she is meant to be a recording artist and not a performer.) I like the song, though.
I see it being played during the cutscene where Dalamud drops to the ground. At the very end (after the climax of the song), we'll see new life growing, people rebuilding their cities, etc. It will be a nice 'hopeful' end before they shut the servers down for the time it takes them to start up 2.0. It is, after all, the conclusion of one 'storyline'. I know we don't think of it that way because it isn't an expansion, but we ARE getting to see something that no one post-2.0 is ever going to experience.
maybe they should have had Adam Lambert sing it.

Not that i care for adam . . . not my style of music. But maybe this would have been a better song for ffxiv's release and opening scene. haahaahaahaaaaaaaaaa.

I am seriously going to beat you until battle tanks pull us apart.

I hope they make a new song for 2.0 but with pieces from "Answers" here and there to tug at our heart's strings.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
ORIGA would be an excellent choice.
And commission deadmau5 to do a remix of it after its done. Why not?

Yes I want to see more of this song being used in 2.0 then it is being used now. PLEASE! I love this song and I still play it everyday on my trips back and forth to work.

http://youtu.be/iifJz18AS6U - Sup guys, greatest XIV song reporting in.
If some audiophile could either extend this or tone the pitches and 1 of the themes to lessen the ear-rape, it would be super.
Also Answers is either going to be a closing cutscene BGM like memoria was.
Doubt even SE knows what to do with it.
It featured also in the pre-release trailer of XIV for those who didn't know.
