This has been an ongoing issue for many players over several years, and Square Enix is completely blind and deaf to this issue--or worse, outright ignoring it. I've been experiencing abnormally high levels of packet loss while connecting to the FFXIV servers, averaging around 10+% lost packets. This occurs any time of day, on any world/data center, on any character. I've run WinMTR pretty much every day for the past few months, and the results always point to NTT nodes causing the issue. When I ping game servers for any other game, I average 0% packet loss, maybe 1% on an unlucky day. So it isn't my hardware or my ISP. This is an issue that solely lies with Square Enix and NTT.

The issue is so bad that when playing Red Mage, when I attempt to use a Dualcast proc, sometimes the game will not register that Dualcast has triggered, and it begins hardcasting a 5 second spell instead. And earlier today, extreme lag/packet loss actually cost a Dragon-King Thordan pull during a C41 party. This is ridiculous, frustrating, and makes me viscerally upset that I am paying my hard-earned money to be griefed by Square Enix like this.
