Ensuring Legacy Status will be Obtained

Hey everyone, so I recently came back and started a month to month subscription in hopes of getting Legacy status. My first payment was May 22, so my 2nd payment will be here in a few days. Based on the update about the Legacy status, is it saying that I absolutely HAVE to buy a 3 month sub by the end of June if I haven't made 3 monthly payments by then if I want Legacy status? I just don't want to be screwed out of Legacy because I didn't understand the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You're going to be done paying for 60 days soon. You don't have to buy the 90 days to get Legacy status. You will receive it in a month.

My understanding is yes, you will have needed to pay for 3 months by the end of June. if you only have 2, you don't qualify.

if you have time, i'd cancel the monthly recurring and switch to the 3month now.

you can also contact customer service. but i'm pretty sure (and i can't find it atm) it says '90 days by june 30th'

You need 90 paid days before the start of 2.0 beta.

This is definitely not the case in his situation. You may want to go back and read the posts regarding this topic.

The June cut-off is just to notify people that may be returninng now and have not previously paid for any game time, that if you don't get the 90 day plan before june 30th, you won't be able to qualify, because they are taking away the 90 day plan, and there won't be enough time to accumulate 90 days worth of time otherwise.

I think what people aren't understanding, is that to qualify for legacy, you simply have to pay for 90 days worth of time. You don't actually have to play that long. You could register for the game, pay for your 90 days, and then never even log into the game and still be a legacy member in 2.0.

This is why they are notifying you about the termination of the 90 day plan, because purchasing that option is essentially a free ticket into legacy, and it's not going to be available anymore. So from now on in order to qualify you have to wait til the next billing cycle and that takes time, unlike the 90 day option which gives you legacy instantly.

If you pay for your 3rd month, you'll get Legacy. The cut off for paying is 2.0 beta, which isn't for a few months still.

The announcement and the removal of the 90 day option is happening because 2.0 beta is roughly 90 days away or less. I think they would like to exclude people who join next month or later. They will not be able to get Legacy because they can't just pay up-front for 90 days. I think this is reasonable.
