    Linkshells are limited because they are meant for like a small group of friends or statics who are spread out across different servers. They don't want to make it any more than that because they don't want them to interfere with free companies.

    None of that makes any sense. If crossworld linkshells were intended for small statics, they wouldn't have 64 slots to begin with. The notion that Square cares about FC integrity is also a load of crap, since solo FC housing incentives and submarines have totally destroyed any tangible reason to join a free company for most people. Furthermore, if CWLSes were intended for small statics, why have 64 spots? Why not 8? Genuinely curious what your source is, or when it was said.
