MNK endgame gear?

If you don't want gear because it's just going to be outdated, why play? I mean let's face it, while we all enjoy the company of friends and the atmosphere of the game, at the end of the day we're here for gear. The game makes that the over-arching goal and we buy into it. If you're not sold on that, then quit. In the meantime don't random for anything. Wouldn't want stuff to to go to waste.

I play on free time and free time i have i put into getting everything to 50 so i dont really care much for gear , i would if i had more free time and could spend hours farming a dungeon or primal fights, everyone has their own play styles and well not everyone is here for gear, i know a few ppl that all they do is craft cause they have no interest in the combat aspect of the game yet, until SE gets everything fixed up i pretty much share the same mindset , all i do is craft and caravan and the ocassional moogle but thats it.

If you want to go the GC route for gear, a Lieutenant weapon with 5 piece bonus is a nice option. If you have to give up a str ring for a gc attack ring, the attack power added should more than make up for any lost str.

H2h does count. I went a different route of weapon, body, legs, waist, feet since I use militia earrings and want every bit of -emnity I can get.

i can see some of your points but while people here flame someone for his own playstyle thats just wrong, its a game its not life everything doesnt matter in the end. i carry my own weight but so what if someone doesnt thats his choice and his playstyle. not everyone plays this game to be the best some play for fun and to be with friends. doesnt mean that your hardcore that everyone else has to be. its called free will

Exactly my point Akira , we need more people like you and less flamers around , cause seriously these forums are like one giant black hole of flamers, oversensitive , frustrated,mentally disturbed people looks more like an anger management crazy house than actual helpful forums. I've seen free to play forums with more helpful people and less hate and frustration driven people than on both FFXI and FFXIV forums combined.

What is the point of coming in a thread asking about an endgame monk's gear. Just to give your opinion on how worthless you think gear is because you don't do endgame? You don't want to go after gear that's fine go have fun. But its pointless to come into this thread and give your opinion to someone who clearly wants to to endgame.
