Why MSQ use big words all the time XD?

Addressing the OP (or rather people using it as a "I know it's a troll but I still agree" springboard):

Different people speak with different levels of vocabulary. Not everyone uses clipped, terse speech with the minimum number of "alternative" words. God forbid everyone in the world of FFXIV doesn't exclusively talk in MCU Whedonspeak with short, biting one-liners with the most basic word choice possible.

Larboard hasn't been used since then. Starboard is still in use. The point is the other languages had an easier time knowing it was left and right. As even the terms used in the Japanese version have the Kanji for left and right as part of the word. Then there's the 2nd boss of Temple of the fist that uses Port, Aft and a few other nautical terms that just adds to the confusion. Not that people seem to know their left from their right anyway as people still get smacked by left handgun and right handgun all the time against Mustudio.

I mean idk I was unironically in the navy so obviously port and starboard are just natural to me through like a few years of constant exposure, but I don't recall it ever being hard to grasp/remember even as a booter straight out of great lakes.

Yes that's what he said and yet back then and even to this day people gripe about it. It's why when we learned about TOP people hoped that if the fight had beetle Omega in it that it didn't do a Larboard/Starboard combo while also having to deal with a difficult secondary mechanic. Sure, the fight had them in there but there was no back to back with a flip of the boss. Not everyone and their mum is into archaic nautical terms or was/is in the navy or coast guard. Though the French terms are also applied to planes. I probably would have been fine with Port and Starboard or Port and Aft as I happen to be somewhat familiar with said terms. It's also the needing to read the name and realizing he's now facing the group and not the tanks for the follow up attack that was more of the problem than the naming of terms.

There is only one way to stop that horrible swelling pain in your brain when you encounter new words. The French invented it i believe when the poor had some sort of grievance against the wealthy. I'm not even sure if it's legal to own anymore.

I'm more of a trepanning dame myself. Less of a mess, but not nearly as fun.
