People are all so bored of the game and playing BG3

Reclearing Savage today, all I heard was BG3 BG3 BG3. The few times we actually talked about FF14 it was saying how people wanted to get the reclear over with as fast as possible so they can go back to BG3. The Discord servers I'm in also just talks about BG3 and AC6 now.

Over the years I'm noticing a pattern: people don't actually like doing Savage reclears after week 2 or 3 ? Always it's about getting it over with fast so they can go back to playing other games ?

I usually notice this mostly among raiders... But even the casual players I know in FF14 are all talking about BG3 and are just idle in FF14 while playing BG3 and use FF14 to chat once in a while in say or linkshell.

Really let's be honest do we play FF14 because it's a good game these days ? Or do we just use it as a social platform to hype ourselves up about other games like BG3 and AC6 ?

It's really sad because we used to get excited about FF14 now we are mostly excited about other games and FF14 has become a chore ? Really so many people only raid/Limsa/mod to keep in touch with friends.

Please read my post again, the point is that people want to get their FF14 chores over with ASAP to play other games, they want to spend the minimum amount of time possible in FF14 and fulfill their obligations and then they play other games.

So true. FFXIV isn't meant to be someone's "main game" like BG3, AC6, Starfield, WoW, Fortnite, or any other game that's come out. It's just a side chore you have to do like taking out the trash or doing laundry. People don't play FFXIV because they like the game, they do it because they have to. This is why Yoshi-P put less of a grind in relics this expansion. He wants you to play other games because he knows that FFXIV isn't exactly all that much. It's just FFXIV.

It's like asking people to commit to grinding Candy Crush and NeoPets. That's the kind of game FFXIV is.
