What's up with the lack of music variety on mounts?

So, since i a while ago, i realized and wondered

What's up with mounts not having a more diverse OST?
While the great majority of mounts have an unique OST, like extreme mounts having their respective boss song with maybe the exception of bosses with 2 phases, a lot of them use one of the 2 default ones, either Borderless or Roads less traveled

This game has an amazing OST, one of the best ones i've ever heard in a videogame, yet there are a lot of songs that are either forgotten or are in such instances you rarely get to hear them

I'm going to put 3 examples to put an idea in mind.

1- The main one that made me realize and make this post is the latest mount introduced in Orthos with the reward of being cleared 4 times, the Aeturna, wich when after getting it, comes with... the default theme...
The past mount in HOH, the Juedi came with Deception, a theme wich fits the mount due to it's temathic and respective expansion
You could argue for Aeturna that it lacks an identity by being something exlusive to Orthos, but why not then put for example Hyper Rainwob Z, a theme at the moment of writing this post and since a few years, exlusive to POTD aka Deep Dungeon?
A wonderful, funny and incredible song that you get to hear in a single instance of the game for no more than maybe a few minutes due the speed of POTD once reach high aetherpool levels

2- For my second case and another mount introduced in Endwalker is the Hippo cart from the Hippo riders Akasadora tribe
I can't describe how funny and great the Hippo cart song is, yet is only to be heard in this single place of the game, PUT IN ON THE HIPPO CART, again the mount has one of the default songs, wich is a real shame.

3- Demi-Ozma
Eureka was wonderful, the community and experience driven by the objective of getting this mount was insane for me, and the Baldesion Arsenal being the peak of this for me, get to participate with the huge amount of members and community was a really pleasant experience, getting the mount as both a reward and sign of having done Eureka was something really great, and while i love the mount, i can't but feel shame that it again has one of the default mount music
Baldesion Arsenal had wonderful OST given by XI, the main hall BA OST, normal boss battle and Proto Ozma itself were great options, but none of them were used and Demi Ozma ended up with one of the default ones.

To put a few notes

1.This post doesn't have the intention to be a rant but just a little nitpick i have with, i understand not every mount can have a dedicated song, but it's on cases like the ones up where it won't hurt, but it's just a shame

I have a dedicated macro to put on and off mount music as well, but i just feel it's again, a shame wonderful music gets lost or is that limited when it could be implemented easily on these

Soken actually told us the reason why. They only have a select amount of music tracks they're able to allocate to mount BGM. Hyper Rainbow Z actually comes from an older Moon Fire Fair that was basically an episode of Power Rangers.

They have not used that excuse since PS3 been gone we all know what holding this game back it not a console it old pcs.

I turned off mount bgm so quickly because I got so damn sick of the chocobo theme when I was getting through ARR. It wasn't until someone was telling me that they love some other mount's theme (I don't recall which) that I even learned that was a thing lol.

And I still haven't turned them back on. But it doesn't sound like I'm missing much!

Meh, I'd say it depends. Mounts that have the old generic mount music...yeah, I don't get much from that, and in certain areas where I find the zone music itself incredible (most of SB, for example), I'll turn mount music off. Other times, once you have a large enough selection of mounts, it's neat to hear the variety. I just had a big ole' smile on my face the other day when my random mount thing popped up the Kirin mount for the first time and its mount music played

I'll add a fourth: the Blackjack airship mount should play the theme of the Blackjack airship from FFVI.

I'm in the same boat. And I'd never be on a mount long enough to enjoy it anyway. Might as well listen to it on YT.
