I think WoW has jewelry character customization where your character can have nose piercing and is not related to equipment. While I may not use it myself, I think more customization is better for everyone.

Some races in WoW have piercings as part of character creation, but it's entirely unrelated to equipment.

Kinda reminds me of my random throwaway idea of thigh/ankle Decorations. as well as bicep for that matter. where you can place cloth or metal covers from webbing, to braces. and etc.

This. As much as I appreciate fashion accessories glasses it would be nice to have a slot for face glamour. I sure as hell want my WoL having glasses on while having his face covered during instances.

I can't see that happening for rings that already exist and give stats (new models would have to be made for every existing ring, new code added to control where they display, etc.), but glamour items filling that role would be awesome!
