    Ninja nerf. Mass (alliance) pvp.

    Firstly, I hate "mathematicly balanced" arenas and think at the very least it shouldn't be a prioroty in nerative driven mmo. The nerf of range is whatever in arena (less kills - ok).

    In mass (alliance) pvp. Make special buffs (in mass pvp only) for melee jobs, which will buff attacks/short burst in melee range. Reward players risking jump into perma-stun hell trying to get enemy rangers and healers. As ninja I hated the role of range harasser in mass pvp anyway and don't start on that limit break... But after the last patch I just run around behind DOING NOTHING with occasional limit break IF it works out and not just a kill steal (that's a big if actually), because I know it's worthless to risk my ass and jump behind enemy tanks for a misly drop of burst damage which will get healed right back up in no time and all I get is DEATH. And 20 yards (from 25) is basicly right behind tanks (if there're any) and in front of range jobs - so guess whos ass first on the menu? Not worth spitting range dps either.

    What I mean: it's gang pvp so you can meme a bit.

    You get a baseline 60% damage reduction on top of being able to get double shields/double heals from mudras by using them with bunshin plus an escape skill that gives you stealth. The range nerf doesn't hurt them at all in FL and they are still the most durable dps melee on the field. Your issue is a skill issue.

    Ninjas are still super tanky, deal good damage, can insta-kill enemies at 50%, can chain said insta-kill if lucky, and has tons of escape options. They were, and still are awesome at nearly everything. A 5 yalm nerf to their ranged attacks as a *melee* job doesn't even put a slight dent in their viability in FL.
    It's still borderline hopeless to try killing one unless they're literally in the middle of your team and your whole alliance is zerging it. They're super low prio when you can way more easily kill the tank standing next to them.

    You're upset because you're not able to burst people in FL half to death from 100% while at the same time being unkillable?

    Try to be the person going in to finish the job after others have opened on them instead of being the guy to open on people. You basically have ninja's role reversed. Your kit is awesome at finishing off wounded enemies, so hover around LBing DRKs and DRGs and mop up whatever they're not able to finish.
    Look for careless ranged, casters and healers and punish them for getting greedy.
    Ninjas are super hard to kill, but if you charge in like a DRK you're going to get your bum handed to you because you're making yourself the only freely available target. Literally anyone who doesn't have an invincibility LB up will die if 20 people tunnel them.

    I mean... bunshin gives a shield and you can pop huton if you want before you dive in. Between those, 60% DR and guard you have more than enough survivability to use shukuchi twice. Also, using shukuchi as an escape is NOT a waste. Surviving and keeping your battle high is way more important than using assassinate which would be more useful in finishing off a straggler than idiotically diving into a big mob and putting yourself out of position.

    So yes, its a skill issue on your part. 1 death is excusable, sometimes you get caught off guard, but if you're dying a lot as a ninja.... that's on you.
