The Diadem Items Should Have Their Own Inventory!

Hi, this is my first forum post ever.

I've been playing ffxiv for 1,168 hours and I've spent a lot of time in the diadem because I like gathering.

When Sanctuary's came out, I leveled my island to 10 and had a blast.

The main reason for this was because none of the Sanctuary items were in my inventory.

You already know where I'm going with this but items from the Diadem should have their own inventory.

I've been transferring items over into my saddlebag because I'm running out of space.

Do you guys agree with my sentiments or do you think I should spend another couple hundred hours in the diadem?

Meh people keep way too many things. When I gather in the Diadem, If I don’t intend to immediately craft, I just sell the mats. If I want to craft, I just keep what I need for the items I want to make. Once my crafting session is done, I sell my leftovers if any and discard incomplete stacks.

I also normally gather only the type of mats I need for the crafting I intend to do. I can use my abilities that give me more yield on useful mats for my crafting and it’s faster.

I would consider it better if the diadem items do take up inventory space, but upon leaving the area, it automaticly performs the conversion. The inventory space in that case guarantees you can store it, so there is no conflict on that part. But afterward you dont end up with 2x the same item just because 1 item wasnt converted towards the 'accepted' state, it just gets discarded directly.

On that, the whole accepting part isnt a good addition anyway as its just reducing output which could have been applied to the gathering itself by capping it to a 98% succesrate or something, the effective result is still a similar number of items.

But the real issue what makes it even more anoying is that selling those items only can be done at stacks of 99, which are very small considering most crafting recipes. When most recipes demand 10 of an item already, there is no point selling just 9 (especialy since they often have low values). Being able to sell a stack of 999 would be a lot better since it means you can declutter your inventory faster.

Island sanctuary doesnt allow selling those items, which allowed this seperate inventory. But for diadem, since it often also makes you mine items you dont need, selling to other players is relevant. But sure, they could do it like IS where you can sell to a vendor for scrips, as that way you can at least purge all the unneeded items instantly. But that also means that we probably need a higher scrip cap, and some new (more expensive) items to buy to offset this change.

I do relate to your sentiment since I'm doing Divine Provider, but nah, it's not really pragmatic to give them their own inventory.

Items such as that from relics, lockboxes, etc., that would be better.

having helped from start to finish with firmament and doing some gathering. i mean if you gathering absurd amounts then be ready for space to be taken up. at most what they could do is a special bag for the non approved stuff from diadem then transfer it to your bag after approval. the reason i don't think seperate would work is because those mats are used to craft with and in the history of my time on this game was anything ever in its own bag thats used for crafting.
