3.) In-universe, the reasoning behind it is that when you do lower-level content, you are using the Echo to re-live the experience. Meaning you only have available to you the same abilities you had at the time you first did it.

I am missing quite a few abilities then. I distinctly remember Fluid Aura, Protect, Stoneskin 1+2 and Divine Seal when I was playing ARR on my WHM as well as Stone 1+2 and Aero 1+2 being their own buttons and Cleric Stance being a thing.

But Half of those skills have been removed. from the game. Ppl cant use skills that dont exist.

Given the number of times we've been stabbed, slashed, smashed, slammed, shot, poisoned, electrocuted, set ablaze, frozen, and all manner of other various bodily harm, it'd be more surprising if the WoL didn't have some kind of permanent damage, destined hero of ultimate destiny or not.
