so.. what you're saying is that its not against tosDoes that mean we are now morally allowed to use the mod?
no, not legally
morally
no, I don't mean legally allowed
I mean morally allowed
morally, as in, socially accepted
no, I don't mean legally, I don't mean the ToS permits it
I mean socially accepted as the feature is upcoming and about to be added
No, I don't mean the ToS suddenly changed to allow for third party tools, I don't mean you cannot get banned for using it.
The inverse, OP is staunchly against mods and has had a thread a while back about kicking a static member for using mods without checking with the rest of the static and things blowing up on their face, and now they made a thread to "trick" people into defending mods and have a "gotcha" moment (see here), which doesn't seem to be working.
It is never morally okay to cheat and give yourself some kind of advantage over others in an online game.
Save cheating for single player games.

"Everything is permitted" - some assassin game
It's always morally correct to mod this game.
The duality of men...
I'm not without sympathy and I get the frustration associated with such decisions by the dev team. However, I'm also a console player and have never had access to mods of any kind whether or not I would use them or would find them interesting. I am simply of the mind that everyone should have the same access to the same things, making third party tools and mods strictly a no go regardless if they are benign or malicious in design. Now that everyone has access to view the party's buff/debuff timers and is supported by the dev team, I have zero issue with this feature.I think my only complaint on SE's side was punishing that one JP player for using the mod that added timers to buffs/debuffs on the party frames and then adding the feature into the game. That could have been handled better. Otherwise I only see it as a positive to add QoL features.
Some legal things are more of a cheat than some illegal things ( Raid simulator is legal and more of a cheat than 1000 zoomhack, Discord allows you to get carried just as Triggers do, Wide screen is more efficient than zoomhack)

But is it actually cheating though.
It's a simulation, not actually the game.
it may temper you to the situation, and think "That this is just like in the simulations"
making it easier.
But it's not actually in the game.
it's like what that one CC says, does that make discord a TPP, Does that make twitch a TPP during a World Race.
Does that make the Housing Simulator<By itself, with no intent to move into the game>, or the Glamour sharing websites TPPs?
It does not.
The whole "You do ____ for ___, ___ does ____ for ___. They are not the same."
While I wouldn't personally use a simulator, I would argue those things you list aren't cheating since they don't interact with the game directly.
An ultra widescreen monitor is only a second party tool, mind you. It's all about those third party tools.
