I'm trying to understand the logic here.
A: There is a mod that does 'x'
B: Devs decide to add 'x' into game
Therefore
C: It's okay to use the mod
Is that what OP is arguing here?

the problem isnt the actual mod (unless its actually cheating), the problem is BYPASSING ToS for it to be used in-game. Thats what the dev team gets worked up over, its never been about whether the mod is good for the game or not (again most of the time), they just have a problem of people going out of their way to install 3rd party software in order to get these features.
I will never understand why people seem to have such a hard time understanding this basic concept for why they give out bans when people get caught. I'll say it again, the mod itself isnt the issue, its their implementation that's the problem.
Seems kinda backwards. If anything it now means you have one less reason to use mods.
Also am I out of the loop? Job Icons what? What's coming to the game?
In 6.4 you'll have an option to display the role or job a person who is speaking is on. Which I guess was a mod that may or may not have gotten a person(s) banned.
