I am spending a great deal of time in the Saucer. A lot in my FC house managing submarines. Crafting. Decorating. Or just chatting to friends in Ul'dah. People do what they like..so I dont see a problem here.

Did they? Not as a complete run then, because they would've caught the in between phases bugs. They may have "tested" it but they dev tested it, they started phases one at a time and not as one continuous run. Lol extensively...please.

Extensively enough to realize that buff-heavy groups would end up dodging buffs given out by the boss, causing wipes because people didn't get the right buffs/debuffs?

Because that was a thing in TOP. It's part of why MCH was slightly favored for a bit. As they didn't add the buffs that DNC and BRD do.
