If they don't divide workloads for good, neutral, or potentially bad reasons in the future.
Sure, long as it has a reason that will benefit the Playerbase as a whole.

No one complains about more content..,

But we will always worry about something being replaced/not worked on for another.
[Though some do take it a bit far on that worry. they have merit only cause they feel that way, but not enough to demand it to be worked on.]

Hopefully, now that most of the Side projects done by CBUIII are nearing their first stage of completion.
They'll be able to focus more on XIV.
<Despite the fact it is not yet over. With after release development/maintenance/servicing for XVI. They certainly don't plan many or any issues, but they know to be ready.
The Various Server Upgrades, which we may never know how far it goes.-but we do know, at least what it may allow us to enjoy later. Per Yoshi's Nudgeds and hits recently-.
And honestly, they better tell us more what 7.0 will bring, too many Consumers have Justifiably been raising concerns over where the workload is with the updates.
Cause such updates aren't simple, and it'll help those that can't measure expectations to hold a line.>

TLDR: Sure, once they've gotten things back into Order/in order for the new Arc/Decade for XIV.

Let's say they added an extra piece of combat content.

Everyone burns through it in a day and then continues to complain there is no combat content.

It is not a problem that SE can actually solve by making more content.

We also did just get some combat content. A deep dungeon. Personally, I'm still casually building up my aetherpool to do the higher floors, but I'm willing to bet some people burned through it in a day and are now complaining there is no combat content.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

So more content that only 10% (being generous) of the playerbase engages with that takes away from normal content? No thanks.

And simply saying "it wouldn't affect the normal release schedule" doesn't magically make it so. You can pretend all you want that FFXVI is the cause of all of your frustrations, but I think you'll find not a lot changes after it gets released.

Imo FFXIV needs more content around the level of extremes.

Yes, its insane how little level 90 combat content there is. Why even bother adding any more levels and skills when 90% of the content synchs you down

Endgame doesnt mean ultimates only, lv90 alliance raids are also endgame and a blind monkey could complete them

More content? Maybe. I'd rather have a reason to do the stuff that's already in the game. Let FATES reward tomestones, add a new Chi style mega FATE every few patches, upscale some leveling dungeons to 90 and let it reward gear at roughly normal raid's ilevel. Let criterion/criterion savage reward EX/Savage item level gear. Add an extreme difficulty to alliance raids (in other words remove some telegraphs and make stuff hit harder/more often) and again, let it reward gear with higher ilevels.

they need to take focus more off making Ultimates and the likes of that and focus more on casual content that the remaining 99% actually would do.

This would not impact the current content releases of the game, but be an extra for those people that wish to have more 'above average' content to do throughout the droughts.

The casual player base would not be affected by the extra content, as it is optional and not required. The rewards would simply be an alternative to savage/tomestone gearing as the content would release 8-16 weeks after savage.

    Yes or No?

Please keep the arguments to a minimum.
Yes this would keep player continuing engaging with the game especially when the drought comes around. Really do not like this this game pretty much is do a week or 2 worth of content then disappear till next patch.
